It doesn't look like the picture. Room 310 had a tiny bed pushed against the wall given to us as two adults. Poor decor. Moved to a bigger bedroom with broken sink. Poor quality.

Summary
I stayed in a single room which was in the basement, it was cold, the window was single pane glass and nothing worked. The radiator didn't work, the kettle was broken, the telephone was unfathomable but by far the worst problem was the bathroom. It was far too small, the water took a life time to warm up and was either freezing cold or boiling hot. The shower suffered from the same problem as the only way to regulate the temperature was to alter the water pressure and at one point the shower head simply dropped off. Final criticism, internet access was provided but at a price of £5 for half an hour. On the plus side the bed was good, food catered to all tastes, the bar was good and ultimately for £53 a night the hotel was good value. Furthermore location was perfect; directly opposite Bayswater tube station and near plenty of shops e.g. tesco, sainsburys and waitrose.
Summary
Small room...not a problem when it's just for sleeping, but the bathroom was impractically small! Sitting on the toilet did require the bathroom door to be left open, and I'm not even 6ft! Internet usage was rather expensive...£6 for an hour...should really be free, also, TV was of poor quality. Only had standard Channels 1-4, no digital tv signal. Location was quiet....except for the fact that the other rooms are located rather close by...thus you hear every movement (also, the fact that my room was beside the lift didn't help). Friendly, if impersonal staff. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. Did find a free copy of the Daily Mail on my bed though (If you like that sort of thing...) Hotel and room was clean enough, but was on the tired side. Tea and coffee making adequate...though no biscuits!! Luckily the location of the hotel makes up for the shortcomings...a 2min walk from Bayswater Tube, with a McDonalds and Sainsbury on your doorstep too. As a crash pad, it was entirely adequate, but wouldn't be in a rush to stay there again.
Summary
Very nice hotel clean in very good area with reasonable price
Despite having read some bad reviews about this hotel, we were very happy with out stay. We checked in at 4am after a wild night out, but this was no problem and the receptionist was very helpful. The room was a good size and was very clean. We had a great night and I would stay at this hotel again.
Summary
Staff very friendly. Room clean, excellent value for money. Very central to Oxford street.
Summary
From the outside the hotel looked very impressive, unfortunately when we got to our room I was immediately disappointed. I had booked what I thought was a superior room and the standard the room was that of a basic. Our room was also next to what sounded like a wash room noise started at around 7am of running water and banging about, like a herd of elephants was running around. My boyfriend is over 6foot and our bed was a 3|4 size, which even tho the mattress was comfortable the both of us could hardly fit in. Our room had a lovely view of a brick wall and pigeon nests and our TV which was included in our room had appalling service, all round I was not impressed with this hotel. And would defiantly not stay here again,
Summary
I booked a single as I only needed a bed for the night and shower facilities for quick refresh.
The room is located along & behind the lift shaft and tiny. The bathroom facilities are very difficult to use as so small. Would only recommend for tiny people.
Disappointed to begin with the standard of accommodation. Didn't appreciate being asked for my passport. I declined, asked for my driving licence..declined! Why should I have to? I am a uk resident.
Hotel could do with refreshing but the room that I was given was surprisingly good, again unfortunately it was in the basement front of hotel and outside noise was a problem. The toilet had trouble flushing and the shower head sprayed everywhere but where it was supposed to! Staff dealt with these quickly and efficiently. Breakfast was ok and good value so were the bar prices. Overall average :-/

Summary
Hotel location good, room on second floor good position.
Room was a little tired and needs refurbishment-basin in bathroom had a crack and water was very slow to drain away. Shower was good but bath chipped.
I have no complaints about the room or the service, it was extremely good and everybody was friendly and very helpful, thank you. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the hotel to friends who plan to visit the UK.
Summary
Staff were wonderful and helpful, especially the porter when we kept losing our bag tickets, not so impressed with the room though.Actually wasn't so much the room itself but where it was situated.Felt like we were being dumped in the worst rooms due to miss management of bookings. Other than that would recommend.
Summary
On arrival the Berjaya Hotel looked very clean, lovely entrance with your usual London hotel bejew feel. As we were early prior to checkin the staff labeled our bags with what was a piece of sticky tap and a raffle ticket. Mean while the other staff behind the desk were franticly rushing around trying to find my details. One bag was taken and the other left in the foyer so meant we couldnt leave and had to wait a further 5-10min before the same chap came back for the other bag. During which a couple were checking out who at the time seemed very perterved and unhappy about their stay.
Only until our return to check in and move into the room an hour later we seemed to have the same issue with the bags.
Finally bags arrive and told to go and the the lift to 2nd floor. On the lift opening I can only but describe this as if you held a match box upside down and pushed the middle piece as if opening. I am not the largest of persons but neither am I small 3persons if you are lucky will fit in this lift.
Again on the lift opening to second floor you then begin to see space is something of an issues with a room door 2steps away and corridors that looked like rabbit worrens. Stairs twists and turns and dead ends everywhere. God forbid a fire emergency evacuation as the exit signs don't seem to help much either.
Finally on finding the room on initial inspection seemed quite clean although has to be the smallest I have ever stayed in (nothing as shown on the picture on the website). A twin room beds diagonal to each other but so close the may as well be one and the bases of the beds dirty, stained and ripped in places. Worn carpets, a solid matrice where the floor was probably the more comfortable and again very dark and dingy. My bed in particular was next to a radiator up against the wall, if I wanted to hug a radiator for 2 nights I'd have gone to B&Q for £50 for the pleasure, my knees in particular came away with bruses, not happy!
On a closer inspection the door to the "bathroom" only opens 3/4 the way as the sink was behind it. The floor, wall tile grout and silicon seal joints around the bath had mould. A shower head full of lime scale and so on and so on, not clean.
Back to the rabbit worren on leaving the room the labyrinth of corridors managed to beat our memory something King Henry 8th would have been proud of in his hammersmith gardens. We ended up on a lower ground floor where we bumped into a maid and asked for help to the exit. She replied in broken English "no exit" more than slight worrying but eventually we found our own wayfinding out 2min later with releaf.
We stayed 2 nights "unfortunately" and on the evening returning on the second night the beds hadn't been made from the night before.
The only plus side is the location, I wouldn't recommend the Berjaya to anyone unless you are paying major reductions than the given price per night, however if you are disabled and are thinking of staying get out your barge poles!!
On checkout the staff looked at me on complaining about the room as if to ask themselves "why is he complaining" and didn't say a word in reply just a stand and a smile!
On leaving after setteling the FULL bill I simply quoted "This place is a 3 Star JOKE".
Oh dear another hotel disappointment On entering the room it overpowering smelt of smoke despite requesting a non smoking room. The room was tiny but ok its central London and one doesn't thankfully spend much time there. The bed was hard and mattress somewhat lumpy but perhaps better than being uber soft! There was only one small pillow and the side of the bed was covered with stains and wall paper peeling off the walls. The bathroom was minute and the handbasin so small water splashed all over the floor with lino that had certainly seen better days but the shower was adequate and decent sized towels. So you are paying for location here - great to have two different tube stations within a couple of minutes walk and the breakfast was very good but the whole place needs a re vamp - bits of furniture on the landing outside the room and furnishings that had been there probably since the 60's! They also charge 50p to leave a tiny bag for a few hours with reception - come on is nothing for free in this place.
Summary
Positives - Fantastic location, being so close to tube station, excellent value for money, friendly staff
Negatives - Room we stayed in due for redecorating, also could not get any extra milk (for tea in bedroom) outside housekeeping hours.
We booked this hotel as a late budget room, and found it to be a lovely hotel. Plus side, it's literally acrsoss the road from Bayswater tube, has some excellent shops nearby (incl. a nice centre with fashion shops), is within walking distance from Oxford St and Portobello Rd areas, and the hotel itself is homely, good staff service and friendly. We even had 2-4-1 drinks while watching the rugby in the bar! We were lucky to have an upgrade without asking, and managed to get a suite - a huge room with modern bathroom, 2 (old) TV's and sofas and table. Not good are the narrow corridors and tiny lift, and I have to say the smell of food in the corridor areas at times, bit overpowering fried brekky smell! Other than that can't fault it, and is part of a worldwide hotel network.
Summary
A well located hotel for all attractions and the theatre, step out of the hotel and you have a wide choice of dining options.
Clean room, friendly staff ery good value for money.
Was very surprised when we got there as for £60 we werent expecting alot but it was a very swish hotel. A bit too hot in the room but just opened the balcony door to let the air in.
1 min from bayswater tube was just brilliant
Had an excellent 3 day stay. Hotel clean, friendly and comfortable - very convenient to tube station. Will definately recommend it other South African visitors to London.
Summary
Though the room was a single it was still tiny. There was not enough space to fully open the bathroom door as it hit the toilet, when closed the only way to sit on the loo was at 45'. The shower was very small but the water was hot. The room was ok for what I needed - a place to sleep for a night and I would possibly stay there again. Bayswater tube station was only 2 minutes walk. The lobby, bar and dining area were very pleasant.
Summary
He hotel room was very near to the lift & the store room so the noise from the hotel cleasning staff was quite noticeable earl hours.....this of course is understandable & if we stayed again i would request a different room location....other than that the stay was pleasant
We found the hotel to be just perfect for a City Break. Customer Service was poor, but otherwise it´s good value for money and few hour power nap.

Summary
This was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. It was in the basement, where even walking along the corridors could prove difficult if you were a larger person. The room showed evidence of damp (bubbling plaster on the walls near the window) and the window was open when I arrived, possibly to mask a damp smell. The shower was so small that a skinny midget would have had problems washing with ease (it reminded me of hiding behind my grandmother's curtains playing hide-and-seek as a small child), and the basin about the size of my hand, so that water sprayed on the floor whenever you turned on the tap (which surely defeats the object of a basin). I could actually hear every word of the conversation of the people in the next room, (don't think their other halves would really have wanted to hear it) and at 7am on Sunday a noise started up like a Black and Decker in the wall behind my head. I escaped for the peace and quiet of Paddington station....Had I paid full price for this room I would have been very unhappy; luckily I had consumed enough wine at the party I had attended to dull the experience somewhat.
Summary
We were said that we got an 'upgrade' from our booking which is standard room to superior. but the room was on the lower ground floor which is to me more to a 'downgrade'. the room were sooo small. even the aisle to the room was only fit for one person to go through. we booked to rooms and the rooms given were separated by 3 rooms. not so much for family friendly.
other than that, the room was clean, bed is comfortable very near to the tube station and very welcoming.
Very nice hotel clean in very good area with reasonable price
