This will from now on be my business...
This will from now on be my business hotel of choice in London because it is comfortable, reliable, quiet and pleasant. My sole and only complaint is that the room cost a bit more than the £101 that they advertise as their base rate, but as they promise, you get in and out without being stung for extras at all. Free wifi that's faster than many hotels' pay-for service, a decent selection of TV channels, a very comfortable bed, and a quiet street (even though it's 2 minutes' walk from busy Earl's Court Road.) These guys have hit on a winning formula for guests looking for a hassle-free, quiet hotel to get some work done and get a good night's sleep.

A very good facility; some rooms are a bit small, but we have used it three times and its advantages outweigh any disadvantages.

The hotel staff were excellent in getting back to me via e-mail before my visit. Upon checking-in, the process was very quick and the staff were very helpful. The standard double room was perfect for us. Not only did it have the sink, microwave, kettle and fridge, but also included bowls, plates, mugs, glasses and any cutlery we could have needed. Bathroom finish is to a high standard. Only problem we had was the shower did not drain properly and so you would get water up to your ankles. Also, there was a fault with the TV and it took several calls to reception to get this problem resolved. Would definitely stay here again as it is in a great location and the service is brilliant - only 2 minutes walk from Earls Court tube station.

Base2Stay was easy to find; exit Earl's Court Underground, head down the road immediately opposite, turn right and you're almost there. The welcome on arrival was warm and check-in was extremely quick. We were told of local restaurants that offered discount with a voucher from reception, and given a map of London and the local area.We had the standard double which was small but perfectly formed; they also have bigger deluxe rooms. What appeared to be a wardrobe turned out to be a small kitchen area hidden behind the door. It had a sink, microwave, fridge, kettle, cutlery and crockery. This was perfect, especially as they don't have breakfast at this hotel, so we were able to pop to the nearby Waitrose supermarket and pick up some orange juice, milk and cereal to get us started each morning. Guests were supplied with the makings for tea and coffee which was handy. In the hallway there was a vending machine which sold drinks and snacks at high street prices. One of the things that persuaded us to stay here, apart from it's excellent location for exploring Hyde Park, the museums, Knightsbridge shops and more, was the free wifi. Whilst it could be slow at times, a quick word with reception was all it took for the system to be reset and working at decent speed again. It was good to find a proper, good quality hairdryer for a change, and I didn't have to struggle to hold down any buttons to keep it working. The hotel's location on the edge of Knightsbridge was handy. It was just a four minute walk to Earl's Court Tube station and a ten minute walk to Gloucester Road Tube station. A little further was Kensington High Street. We were overwhelmed with choice when it came to eating out, shopping, historic pubs and decent grocery stores (Waitrose, Sainsburys, Wholefoods and Marks and Spencers Simply Foods among others).I would definitely recommend Base2Stay. It seemed very popular with people on business, family groups and quite a lot of Americans. They know when they are on to a good thing. I discovered the hotel when doing research on Tripadvisor and found it had many excellent reviews and positive comments.

the well-named base2stay provided an excellent conveniently located base for a recent business trip to London. The single room, whilst small, was very well laid out with a beautiful minature kitchen in a cupboard, complete with microwave, crockery, cutlery, glasses etc and the proverbial kitchen sink! It's only a couple of minutes to M&S food shop and loads of other similar, as well as being able to order food in - loads better than boring expensive mainstream hotels. The flat screen TV provided free internet, free music selection and film selections for only £2. Will definitely stay again, probably in a double room.

For this price you can't do better. The room has good quality fittings with the odd flaw here and there. The staff are excellent. The location is well-connected but quiet in a nice area.I appreciate free wifi internet. You also get a fridge and a microwave. Remember these features are often absent in rooms in Central London.Business travellers might like a larger desk, but maybe thats too picky.

Very clean and tidy. Just a bit disappointed with room size which is why I didn't give it a top mark for quality and value for money. Saying that, had two very good night's sleep there and room service quickly changed the bed from a king double to two singles.
