Summary
Our family chose this hotel because of it's location, price, and the reviews from other past guests. The location was convenient. However the hotel website map was completely out of the way. The price was okay for the room. The room did sleep all 5 of us in one room. It did have a couple of updated fixtures, but the room did not feel clean because of the stains on the curtains, dead bugs in the ceiling light, and old bed spreads. The breakfast was made to order. The English style breakfast was great. The staff at the hotel was nice. The other reviews from the other guests were spot on. Some good things, but some not so good. It was an okay stay since our trip was short.

Summary
Great little hotel. Well located near Paddington and Lancaster Gate tubes both only a few mins
good for a short break or in our case a business trip on a keen budget.
We'll stay here again no question
This was our third stay here and we always love to come back. Excellent location - underground, airport transfer, Hyde Park and good eating places and grocery shops all close by. The hotel is well-kept, friendly staff, good breakfast, nice and comparatively big rooms (especially the ones looking out towards Sussex Gardens).
Summary
Comfortable,clean,food cooked nicely,will be back
Summary
No where near Marble Arch, indifferent staff, blankets(when were they still around - get quilts), got bit by something on the knee. plumbind diabolical ( thought it was fire alarm at one point) noisy as hell, do not stay here unless you are a tourist looking for a cheap night close - ish to West End
Summary
Claen room but shabby decor and furnishings. Well past their sell-by-date in my opinion. Outrageous 5% surcharge on top of the £99.00 per night to pay by credit card. Don't remember reading that when I booked it. Daily charge for internet connection also unexpected.
Summary
Excellent value for central London location. Rooms are not unbearably small. Was slightly concerned that all the fire doors were propped open due to re-painting. Smell of paint also wasn't great.
Summary
Very friendly staff, rooms clean.
Good size for a short visit.
On the whole a good 4 out of 5.
Pretty cheap hotel but tiny tiny room with a broken window taped over. Probably would not stay here again.
Summary
OK, just a bit tired. Bathroom could do with better airflow. Super comfy bed - always a relief. Fairly poor breakfast - lousy coffee!!
Summary
Power cut when we arrived so we had to negotiate flights of stairs in the dark. No water the next morning in our room. They were serving breakfast downstairs though and appeared to have water there. The beds were comfortable, but the quality of the furniture was awful - stains on the upholstery. The wardrobe door was unstable and wouldn't stay shut. It was warm though and we had hot water on the second morning. Breakfast was acceptable. It seemed expensive for the quality of the room.
Summary
Hotel was ok, rooms were adequate, cost 120.00 for three of us, rooms were clean but after a night out breakfast could have been better, still not bad for the money overall.
Summary
Fantastic location and a good size room. Very good value for money and the breakfast was good too. The hotel was having some work carried out in the reception, but thsi was kept tidy and was not a problem. I will return.
Summary
Was quoted £78 for 1 night in triple room but when Laterooms tried to confirm it suddenly became unavailable.
I rang hotel, and miracles! the room was available for £120!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sharp practise here, Listing states Family run Hotel!!! At least 5 different nationalities on staff, big family eh?
Full english breakfast included, ok if you like warm coffee and stewed tea, cold toast, wafer thin bacon, pigeon egg, and the smalest sausage you have ever seen.
All in all overpriced and under delivering.
The hotel is very close to the tube station and many dacilities are only 1/2 minutes walk. The accomodation was clean and very reasonable for the price paid.
Summary
No complaints at all
Summary
We stayed here for one night and we both agreed that we could stay there for the whole weekend. We cannot fault it at all. The rooms are basic and a bit small but you don't need grand rooms for a weekend in London. They had everything we needed including an LCD tv with brilliant picture which was a nice little addition to lying in the extremely comfortable beds. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was lovely with as much toast and cereal as we liked. Location was brilliant. Extremely good value for money.
Summary
Good value for a short stay
Summary
Hotel common areas were being redecorated and the work looked to be going well and of good quality. This hotel is convenient for Paddington/Edgware Road and is one of the better hotels I've stayed in West London. Staff friendly and patient. Could even get good internet connectivity from the basement using mobile broadband. Cheaper than EasyHotel round the corner and perfectly adequate facilities. Breakfast was OK without being outstanding. Lift access to other floors a little quirky and the corridors are quite confusing to get to the basement Dining Room (as a result of several houses knocked together).
Not happy at their potential charge of 5% for using credit cards. Had to point out that they still advertised AMEX Accepted on the door (when they don't). But these are pretty minor.
Pleasant hotel and good location.
Very disappointed with this hotel room, althought the reception staff were pleasant & helpful and the breakfast was fine.
The room was freezing with a terrible icy draft through the long windows (- which are not double-glazed, despite facing the noisy main road at the front). The sheets were incredibly itchy and uncomfortable - perhaps it was the washing powder used?
The bathroom was crying out for re-furbishment with old, cracked tiles, filthy grout, paint splodges on the bath, and the WC handle fell off every time it was flushed.
They charge 10GBP per night for car-parking - but this was not mentioned in the hotel booking information.
Last straw was the burly housekeeper - not british - who burst into our room without knocking at 1030am and informed my daughter that we had to be out by 11am or 1130am - (althought the hotel information states 12 noon!) My daughter was so amazed at this outburst that she took a second to reply - at which the woman shouted at her "Do you understand"? and then slammed the door closed!!
I would never stay here again! This accommodation should be re-furbished before anyone stays here again.
As expected clean & efficient. pleasant polish receptionist poor tv reception & difficult to operate.
Summary
Very reasonably priced accomodation, friendly staff, good breakfast, big room, great shower.
2 minor points:
- at chack in there was a confusion. We got charged for 3 persons and we only booked for 2. There was no hassle getting this resolved though.
- Television satellite system had pop-up on television screen, which couln't be resolved by reception.
When we booked we booked a room for 5 adults and it said a doulble bed plus 3 singles. What we got was a double a single and a bunk bed (the top bunk had several slats missing .this did not go down well with 3 teenagers.the youngest slept in the double bed with me and the wife as did not want to sleep in the top bunk .did not sleep well because of this .the toilet seat was broken, the fan in the toilet did not work(no windows)gaps around the bath were filled with a good helping of sillicon.the shower hose was not long enough.some towels were not clean (faint marks on them) only 1 pillow each.the breakfast was so so the orange juice tasted like it was watered down.the fried breakfast was 1 small sausage 1 slice bacon 1 egg and beans.
lucky it was just 1 night stay.
The Hotell is ok, nothing fancy just a regular small hotell.
Summary
Hotel was clean and tidy close to the tub station, Staff all very nice.
The room was a bit small but how much time do you spend in your rool while in London, no problem for 3/4 nights.

Summary
A central situated hotel for a low cost
Summary
We needed a budget accommodation for one night close to hyde park and the Athena delivered. Polite staff, buffet breakfast and a clean room, perfect.
Summary
We needed a room for 2 adults and 3 children and booked this just after midnight on the day we were travelling - and then we read the reviews which filled us with some dread. However, we were very pleasantly surprised by the qualitly of accomodation - a very clean room for 5 wth plety of room to move around in, with wide screen TV, coffee/tea facilities. Breakfast was good and although some reviews complained about it finishing at 9am, we found this useful as it gave us the motivation to get up and make the most of our time. The hotel has 2 or 3 parking spaces at a cost of £10 a day, but as the hotel is a stones throw from Paddington, I imagine that most people arrive by train.
Would definately us this hotel again.
