Only stayed here for one night. got a good rate of £86 for the night compared to the £199 which was offered if youjust walked off the street! and i dont mean to be rude but i would never pay that rate for thishotel. the entrance is quite a small basic reception area, but with friendly staff behind the desk. our room was situated on the top floor, and was clean and comfortable. nice modern decor and bathroom fittings were of the same quality. bed wasnice and comfortable too, with tea and coffe facilities in the room. breakfast was included, which comprised of cereal, toast, yoghurts, and hard boiled eggs and croissants...help yourself. the breakfast area is situated directly adjacent to the reception desk, and has a tv on in the corner for you to watch whilst you eat! good location...about an 8 minute walk to victoria stations(bus and coach) and not alot further on is buckingham palace. not bad just for one night. all i ever really look for is cleanliness and reasonable comfort when it comes to just an overnight stay, but i am glad i never paid the full room rate....that is vastly in excess of its worth! i stayed at the savoy in a junior suite with a bottle of champagne included for only £50 more a couple years ago!!!

Hotel convenient for Victoria Station and Westminster. Good clean accommodation, slightly on the small side. Only problem was a pre-booked taxi from the hotel to take us to Euston - cost £10 more than the black cab ride used on arrival - beware!

A little gem. Really handy to Victoria tube / train / coach station. Very friendly and helpful staff with very clean rooms. Only very minor negative is that a cooked breakfast would of been better, but in saying that the continental was good. Would definately stay again.

I needed to pick up my daughter very early at Victoria; I was given (as requested) a quiet room - although on the top floor of three reached by stairs, and I slept well. It was very close to the coach station, and at a reasonable price. The staff were helpful and the included continental breakfast was ok. I would use this hotel again.

Hotel was conveniently located, just a short walk from Victoria underground station, in a lovely suburban street. Room was clean and well appointed for the price range this hotel operates in. Breakfast was fine, although the breakfast room is tiny for the number of rooms at the hotel. Only downer on the stay was that there were roadworks outside the hotel with jackhammers operating from 8:30am until 6pm! There was no indication that this would be the case when we booed.

the hotel itself was good , pleasant room, but we were not made aware of the major building works going on in the attached property. Admittedly this was only in the daytime and we didn't want a "LIE IN" but if people were staying at the hotel and needed to sleep because of jet lag etc it would have been really annoying. would recommend when these renovations have finished.

Hotel room was fantastic apart from the picture on the website showed two twin beds but on arrival we found one double bed and one put up bed. Staff were friendly and helpful we found the room to be a little cold but the hotel staff made an adjustment as soon as we mentioned this. Our room was on the ground floor and the only dissapointing thing was we had elephants above us!!!!

We stayed at the hotel as we were going to see wicked and didn't want to rush back for the train. The hotel is excellently sited, really just at the back of victoria station about a 5 minute walk away. Room was plenty big enough for a 1 night stay, in fact it had a double a small single and a microwave in, Downsides were that they were working in the accomodation next door and started about 8am, we were at the front of the building in the basement and this did encourage us to get up and go. We didnt stop for cold continental breakfast as the dining area is tiny and was full up, we could't be bothered to wait for a seat, which for a 4*, i thought was pretty poor.

Room was below ground facing away from the road, but had a door/window i.e. had natural ligth but now view. Residential street with some restaurants. As of mid Feb 2010 there are substantial road works underway in front of the building. Nevertheless we arrived Friday evening and left Staurday morning and the street was absolutley quite. We were assured that road works would not begin before 9am anyway. Staff is friendly. The Hotel has a modern decor and is very clean. A buffet style breakfast was included. Good selection of good quality food on the buffet, very good coffee. Minor niggle was that our bathroom did not have separate heating. For an overnight I would happily use this Hotel again. At £60per night it was very good value for money.

The receptionist was very friendly and gave us a choice of rooms with advice about which may suit us better, my husband being over 6foot.

The room was very nice, comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful, allowing us to use the luggage room before and after we had checked in and out. Hotel is also in a great position. We will certainly be staying again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The reception was friendly, and the room was clean and well equipped. The location is good, about 10 minutes walk from Victoria, in a good area. I found restaurants within walking distance. My room was at the top of the hotel, and there is no lift. If you have difficulty with stairs it would be best to let them know in advance. Breakfast was a bit basic - there is a small room for it which includes reception - but was not bad.

Astor was OK but not worth the £99 I paid. The room as small and warm but the bathroom was deathly cold and just could not be warmed. There are better deals to be had in London.

The room was comfortable and warm, but the price for value barely proved equal. After arriving around midnight, the heating did not switch on until early morning, by which time I was frozen. However, the room was clean, and the staff were friendly.

On arrival the room was baking and the TV didn't work. The tiles in the bathroom were dirty and some had lifted. The room was very small. The breakfast was some sort of self service coffee machine. I had the bedroom opposite reception and was disturbed throughout the night by the comings and goings.

I didn't book this hotel room (on the ground floor), so had no say in regard to accommodations for my business trip. Contrary to the hotel's website, the room was tiny, dark, and cold (needed to use the space heater). Service not comparable with a 4 star hotel (no wash cloths, toiletries, no elevator, cheap furnishings, desk staff--but no proper concierge, etc.) Wireless not free. However, location was excellent, and if you just need a decent place to lay your head at night, then this was more than fine.

Great hotel minutes from Victoria Coach and Rail/Tube Station in a lovely, pretty street. Great value for money, excellent facilities, would stay again. Photos are exactly as hotel is and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Upon arrival I was greeted by a generally rude and uninterested clerk. What loosely resembled a reception area seemed to double up with the Dining Area.My room was UNDERGROUND – some form of converted cellar. The carpets were stained and/or unclean. The TV had a wide choice of channels, few of which actually worked as there was no signal. The central heating did not work – early evening insanely hot. Early morning (i.e. when you get up, in late October) the heating was off and the room was freezing cold. For breakfast you’re eating a selection of poor quality pastries in what feels like someone else’s house.Positives – comfortable bed, powerful shower. Do not be fooled by the 4* rating on Late-rooms. This hotel is circa 2*.I would never stay here again.

Great location, friendly staff and nice (but very small, especially for a double) room. Nicely decorated room but very low ceiling (top floor), not much good it you're tall. There were alot of narrow stairs which wouldn't be good for some people. I'd stay here again but ask for a different room. Great to have a cappuccino machine in reception.

Pefect location to be able to walk to Kings road and other Chelsea areas. Neat, clean and tidy, would certainly recommend this hotel. Not ideal if you find stairs difficult, very steep stairs and didn't notice any lift.
