Couldnt fault this hotel- Excellent.
Summary
2 minutes stroll around the corner from the hotel is a J D wetherspoons pub (The Liberty Bounds). Tower Hill tube station is 150 mtrs away. Food there is good, well priced (about 1/3 of the price of hotel and a pint of beer costs less than £3. Recommend hotel guests try it out.
Summary
Although this is a City of London hotel, not far from some of the major sights, the price I paid was less than any of the other hotels I had looked at. And for the money in London, I think it was excellent; for the money anywhere else in the UK, you can get a lot better! But that's the market...
Summary
This was a great hotel very close to Tower Bridge. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the deluxe room, well after running around our living room/bedroom screaming put on the wide screen and surround sound and heard something coming from the bathroom, a built in speaker! Really so impressed with this hotel. Service at front desk was faultless and such a reasonable price, have recommended to all my family and friends and will be staying again very soon!
Summary
Set on a side street close to the Gherkin this is a great little hotel. The basement room we requested was spacious and the finish was as you'd expect of a city hotel. The room rate was very reasonable. The only (slight) negative was that the checkout process could have been a little quicker. Would definitely stay again.
Summary
Lovely stay, quiet and clean room. Good facilities, slightly expensive and language barrier because all staff were foreign.
Summary
The location and quality of the hotel overall was very good. The room and bed was a tad small, but I would put this down to the staff assuming that me and the person I was sharing with were a couple. The bathroom was excellent. The staff were friendly and cooperative, however I was asked to place a £140 as a deposit on the room, when my friend (who booked the same size room, the same way and stayed for the same duration) only paid £25. This gave me the impression that the staff did not trust me.
Summary
Good service, good food & excellent value for money
Summary
The reception staff were genuinely friendly and helpful.
Summary
The only down side was the cooked breakfast, it was good but expensive for what you got.
Summary
Excellent would recommend to family and friends. Great location, staff excellent especially bar staff in the evenings. the cocktails were fantastic!
Summary
The price for a two night weekend stay was excellent for the comfortable, modern and spacious room. The staff were polite, attentive and helpful, making it feel like the four star hotel it is. The location of the hotel is pretty good, just a short bus ride to the theatres etc, and in fact it was interesting to stay in the heart of old London. We didn't have breakfast or meals here, opting to eat elsewhere (there are breakfast places nearby which are cheaper and more fun).
Summary
Second time at the Apex City and just as good as the first time. Booked a superior room this time around and was pleasantly surprised to be told we'd been upgraded on arrival. Very friendly and helpful staff. A very clean, tidy and well appointed hotel, tucked away on a quiet side street a few minutes walk from Tower Bridge.
Summary
Arrived very early as had meetings planned. Very accomodating, no hassles, very considerate. Pleased to deal with humans. The computer did not say no!
Summary
Very helpful staff and comfortable room
Summary
Only stayed for one night on a whirlwind trip to a concert at the O2. The hotel was ideally situated near to the Towergate station for the LDR enabling us to get to the concert quickly. Our room was lush, the hotel itself exudes class and style. Only wish I could have stayed longer.
Summary
The room was lovely and comfortable
we really appreciated having internet access in the lobby as we don't always haul our computer on holidays
It was our first time of staying at the Apex and we will definitely return next time we visit the capital. Upon arriving the reception area was impressive but it appeared to be more of a business hotel. However the staff were very helpful and created a friendly atmosphere. The room was a good size and perfectly clean. It had a modern interior and was equipped with everything we might need. The hotel is just a couple of minutes walk from Tower Hill tube station putting it in a good location for city centre attractions.
Summary
Amazing value for money both food and accommodation were top quality. Brilliant staff giving excellent service. We had a wonderful break.

I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel

Ottima posizione a 2 minuti da Tower Hill station. Se vi piace camminare in 30 minuti arrivate anche a Piccadilly. Il servizio e' ottimo, Internet nelle camere va bene.
Summary
Had a wonderful stay and it started right at the beginning with an amzingly friendly check in.
i felt very welcome and enjoyed my night.
only downfall - if at all is the grouting in the bathrooms.. they could do with some freshening up - but i am not not going to nit oick about that!! it is just something that i noticed.. other than that the shower was wonderful and hot and the elemis products are divine!!
i dont know what mattrasses apex uses but i slept wonderfully sound!!
it is very close to tube stations and london bridge of course...
We spent a Friday & Saturday night here and, on top of the good rate we got for a 2 night stay, were given a free upgrade to a superior room. We thought the room was lovely - very well appointed, nice bathroom, huge TV and big windows looking out on imposing City buildings. Service from all staff was excellent. Being on the edge of The City, the area is very quiet at weekends, but the Tower of London is nearby and Tower Hill tube station and Fenchurch St station are both only a short walk away. We walked over Tower Bridge and found the area on the opposite side of the river a good place to while away an evening. We'll definitely aim to stay here again on our next visit to London.
Summary
Very comfortable room - quiet and lots space. Bed very comfortable and room well kitted. Handy for walking to tube Tower Hill and buses to West End. 2 Mins walk to Tower of London and River Thames. Overall good value accomodation and would stay again. Would not recommend paying for the breakfast - its ok but not worth it. Weatherspoons within a stones throw better value for food.
Summary
Great hotel, room comfortable & very clean & not much traffic noise, we were upgraded to a deluxe double, location very close to Tower Bridge and tube station, good restaurants within 10-15 minutes walk, check in staff efficient, would use this hotel again. Bar prices steep, but that's London for you !!
Summary
With a good nights sleep in the Apex, you're ready to face Britain's capital. A great location, on good transport links (circle and district underground lines). There are also, many places to eat within a short walking distance.
Summary
As this was our short honeymoon break, myself ansd my husband thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Apex City Hotel. I was a little dissappointed in the size of our room, as when I booked it I was shown pictures of larger rooms. However we were still very satisfied with the cleanliness of it and the staff were friendly.
Summary
We were upgraded to a superior room upon arrival. We enjoyed our stay very much and appreciated both the service and friendliness of the staff as well as the hotel furnishings and its location next to the tube station. We recommend this hotel and will book it again during one of our next trips to London.
Summary
Excellent hotel very friendly staff rooms very good and value for money over weekend location good for tower bridge and the river near to bus toors and river boats
Dinner excellent but a little quiet not too busy the night we had dinner
Impressed on arrival, check in was speedy, and receptionist was very polite and helpful, and gave us a free upgrade. Deluxe room was lovely, only suggestion would be - an Ipod dock would be great with the Bose sound system. Bar area was relaxed and friendly with happy polite staff. Breakfast on first morning was a little slow but very nice, unfortunately on the second morning service was poor, and slow, with food not replenished often enough. Still have to say it would not put us off staying again.
Summary
We stayed here to go to the O2 for a concert. A quick walk over London bridge brings you to the jubilee line, straight to the O2. Good for looking around the City of London.
Summary
Good sized bed and very comfortable.
Summary
My wife and I stayed for the weekend as our first child free break in 8 years and the Apex certainly added to our fabulous experience. The top floor room was first class, spacious, immaculately clean and with great views of the Tower Bridge and other famous buildings. The service was friendly and relaxed with any help only a question away. Would recommend as a base for anyone wanting a chilled break. Tower Hill tube and Fenchurch stations are within 400 yards and provide easy access to all London has to offer.
Summary
The hotel is a fine establishment. The staff are friendly and prompt, the overall cleanliness of the hotel and rooms are very good and the food was tasty and slightly pricey, but nothing unusual compared to other hotels..
The rooms still felt boxy, but good value for money and very comfortable. Perfect for a few days away in the city.
Location wise, they excel in my opinion. Very close to Tower Hill tube station, but you couldn't tell it was also next to a major road.
All in all, a good hotel.
Lovely hotel room to very high standard though slightly on small side but I would recommended breakfast as it was awesome!
Summary
A very good hotel for visiting London, and at the Late Rooms price pretty good value for money. Staff were friendly, well-informed and helpful, hotel was clean, modern and well-appointed. Would definitely saty there again.
Summary
Really good location for city break in London. Lovely accommodation, helpful staff, really good quality stay. Would definitely stay here again.
Summary
Free upgrade to deluxe room, very comfortable bed and room well equipped and v. clean.
Summary
The hotel is modern and minimal - very clean. The bedroom I had was a twin - soft and comfy beds with crisp sheets + duvets and plenty of pillows. Plenty of wardrobe space with tea + coffee making facilities, fridge, hairdryer, iron and iron board. Complimentary still + sparkling water. Large screen tv. Large separate shower but rather a small shower head, with bath, sink + toilet. Elemis bathroom shampoos etc but they weren't replaced daily which was a shame but I didn't ask for more. Excellent breakfast. Great for visiting Tower of London.
