Locationally, this hotel is perfect. 2min walk from the tube, 4mins from the tower of London and a little further to London bridge. Set in an attractive area next to beautiful gardens, historic buildings and restaurants. The hotel itself is modern, clean and comfortable with accommodating and helpful staff, extensive restaurant menu and bar. I would definately visit London Apex again.

A typical london hotel - modern - clean- efficient- but nothing very outstanding to comment on. Lacks signs though took us several minutes to find the elevator!! Bedrooms with air conditioning -fairly quiet didnt keep you awake! A very good area to be in literally only a 5 min walk to the Tower of London. Would certainly stay again if there were special offers on.

We arrived late in the evening to the hotel and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. A complementary upgrade was an added bonus too! Lovely food in the restaurant, a big, spotlessly clean, very comfortable room. When very dressed up for a wedding the following day, one of the staff searched out a cab for us in the pouring rain from the surrounding streets so we didn't have to get wet! Brilliant!

I always stay at the Apex when I'm in London for the weekend. The rooms are clean, spacious, and modern and the staff are friendly and very helpful. Location by tube station is a big bonus, and it's only quick tube journey into the West End. Really good value for money for a 4 star hotel

TOP NOTCH! What an amazing hotel. We stayed 2 nights and it was the best hotel experience I think I have every had - friendly staff, great food and drinks at reasonable prices, great room, and they had all the little touches such as bath robe and slippers, complimentary DVD hire (our room had a DVD player), a rubber ducky for the bath (so cute), great toiletries, complimentary bar snacks with drinks bought at the bar, complimentary water each day, and so many more. The staff were very competant, efficient and friendly, and nothing was a problem. We requested a late check out and they managed to arrange this free until 3pm and it only cost us a minimal fee to extend to 5pm. If we had chosen to leave earlier to go sightseeing, they also had luggage storage available.Words can't express how impressed I was with our stay - for the kind of prices here on laterooms it is great value - if you can afford to stay here PLEASE DO!

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. Quite because it is out of the way down a side street. I was a little dissapointed with the room as I was on a full cost room rate and we only got a small room with a view of a wall.

The hotel was clean and tastefully decorated. All the staff were polite and helpful it was a real pleasure to stay there.Only one thing non postive thing was the fat that the milk left as part of the welcome tray was off. We did ask for replacement which we got quite quickly, but I found them to be of too! But that was a little thing really I had to settle for a black coffee instead.

After booking on the morning of our visit when we arrived our booking seemed to be lost in the system. When eventually found the hotel initially refused to accept a Maestro card and then accepted it for the total cost up front but not the deposit which had to be paid in cash. Our room was not large and appeared to be set up for single occupancy - one set of towels, one coffee sachet, one 'free' biscuit, etc. Shower ok but not what I would call a power shower and certainly nothing to make an issue of. On our second day we returned to the hotel after 2pm because I became unwell. Room had not been cleaned or made up and I was not in a state to leave for another hour whilst they found someone to do it. Great tv though which my husband was able to watch whilst I slept!

We loved this place! The whole experience was very good, from arrival, to upgraded room to thoughtfulness over luggage storage as we checked out.It is well placed for the central line and there is plenty to see within walking distance. Samuel Pepys lived, worked and was buried on this street. It is in a quiet part of London which made for a peaceful night.

Hotel was very nice and good location. Unfortunately, the tube station was closed over the weekend we stayed, so it was a 15 minute walk to the nearest tube station. Customer service was amazing, and the room was very spacious, clean, and of very high quality. Would recommend this hotel to everyone and would stay over and over again.

The food was pretty good apart from the toast being cold. The fact that we chose to have room service was a treat to us and it was delivered at the wrong time. The phonecall before to confirm the items was unnecessary as it was clearly marked and the day before we had received everything with no problems.

Good location for the tower and the tube station was around the corner. All staff were very friendly and really helpful. If you asked for directions and they did not know they looked it up for you. Rooms were a good size and very clean and modern. Would defiantly book with this hotel again. Did not eat there but the bar staff were excellent.

Great customer service and fabulous room. Water in the shower wasn't particularly hot on first night, mentioned to front desk and was rectified quickly. Very convenient for the tube and tower of london. Located in the heart of the city but many of the nearby restaurants were closed on a weekend/ evenings as they obviously cater to the buisness trade. Wetherspoons pub located close by though for a cheap breakfast and good pub food.

This hotel was a great bargain, even more so when we were given a complimentary upgrade. Great concierge, couldn't do enough and wouldn't accept a tip (Chris) Front desk lovely. Service when I needed a cab was perfect. Room excellent. Brilliant location right by Tower Bridge but still pretty quiet.Only thing to point out is that the car park isn't £15 for 24 hrs as advertised on Laterooms. we paid £20 from 5pm until 10am the next day.

We booked our room at the Apex City of London hotel via laterooms.com, the price was great and we were amazed with the service quality, the rooms appearence and size, and the fantastiv location. The only problem we had was the fact that there was no breakfast included in the price which ended up as a addition £30. This is quite a lot of money, however the breakfast was on all morning on the weekend (something we appreciated!) and it was well worth the money. The room was spacious and perfect for a couple who are there for the weeked. There was plenty of storage space in the bedroom and the bathroom. The whole room was very clean and well attended to, we left the hotel in the evening and came back later on to find that it had been tidied up a little in the time we were gone. There was free tea and coffee as well as complimentary snacks and water. You were able to rent DVD's free of charge which was a great bonus if the weather was bad!

Somehow we were lucky enough to get upgraded from a superior room to a suite. The hotel itself has very contempory decor, the suite was lovely and very well appointed (bf was suitably impressed with the Bose soundsystem on the TV), it was a shame we had only booked for one night! The location is great for exploring the city (london underground closures aside), I would definitely recommend a city location at the weekend as the rates are better and it is quieter than more touristy areas in the West End.

Very nice Hotel. The Receptionists were very friendly when we checked in as was the consierge when we asked for directions. Nothing was too much trouble and we were given a free room upgrade. If you decide to dine in the restaraunt make sure you ask for the special 2 or 3 course deal because they don't tell you. We only found out about it on checking out. I also think the 12.5% service charge a little steep even when getting drinks from the bar. The menu was a little limited but after a long day we couldn't be bothered to go anywhere else.Found most staff in the hotel to be very good. The male waiter, Maintenence man, all at reception and the consierge were very professional. I thought that the waitress was quite rude in the restaraunt when i asked to move to a window seat having booked a table she told me the table was booked but when i asked the waiter 5 minutes later he said it was booked for me anyway. I found the cleaner very rude, baring in mind you don't have to check out till noon she was making a racket from 9 onwards and had the audacity to wake me up at 11 to ask when she can clean my room to which i replied 12 when i check out.Overall the stay was very nice, great location and i will use apex again

The hotel could not really be faulted, exceot to say that the exterior and tucked away location took from the initial impression. The location was described as being next to Tower Of London and some rooms had river view. There were only 2 rooms with river views, which we were given as had requested for speacial birthday treat, however the view was the corner of your eye through a side window that opended 30cm wide. Also Tower Hill tube staion is a 2 min walk, but as the hotel is tucked away the directions could be clearer, remember to look for Wotherspoons Pub and it is tuched in the street behind.....

The staff were very welcoming however it ceases after that. The lifts are not situated across from the reception so you do not have anyone to greet you at anytime. In fact you can walk out of this establishment without meeting anyone. The bar and restaurant were deadly quiet. This hotel needs to grow up.Loads of wires falling behind TV.Just very disappointed.

The Apex City of London Hotel- Fantastic hotel, great staff and truevalue for money. Just a stones throw away from the tube and the tower ofLondon, the location was perfect for a weekend get away with mygirlfriend. The rooms were great, clean and contemporary. We stayed in astandard room which was surprisingly large and included everything youcould expect and many things you wouldn't- including a rubber duck and alarge flat screen TV. Lovely large bathroom with modern walk-in showerand a great bath. The front desk staff couldn't have been friendlier nor moreaccommodating. An example of this being, when I asked the concierge torecommend a restaurant for the evening. He took the time to find outwhat we were looking for and even printed a menu and directions off forus and bought them to our room. I do not have any negative comments whatsoever and therefore would nothesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family for business orpleasure.

I spent the week between Xmas and New Year here to do some shopping and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff, and the bed was huge in the bedroom! less than 5 minutes from Tower Hill tube station and around 10 minute walk to Monument station! Breakfast in the hotel was abit pricey, But nothing stopped you going next door to the Wetherspoons which sold huge breakfasts for £4.I would definatly reccomend staying at the Apex city of London hotel!!

I have stayed in quite a few hotels in London and have to say this was one of the nicest ones I have experienced. The location is ideal for visiting the Tower of London and there are plenty of tube stations close by to get you into town. Our room was very clean and the hotel itself seemed to have either recently been refurbished or a new build. It was nice and quiet and the staff, especially the consierge, were very helpful when we asked for directions etc. The reception staff were a little stuffy and, as my partner and I have several tattoos and were there for the convention, they seemed to look down their noses at us compared to some other guests! Lovely stay though - highly recommended
