Summary
This is a textbook case study of how a hotel in its category should be ran.
It is properly refurbished and properly operated.
The facts:
- the room and the bathroom were impeccably clean;
- cleaning was thorough every day;
- the bathroom is spacious and contains a comfortable shower (a large person could still leisurely fit in);
- the room in itself is not very large but the bed is, making the sleep very comfortable;
- there is good wi-fi;
- they don't do food, but there are many options the immediate vicinity anyway;
Impressions:
- the staff is friendly and communicate proactively;
- it feels like the customer does matter for them;
- they seem to strive to please (see photos of bed towel ornaments...)
- my room had an exit to the inner courtyard which I've found very calming and helpful in the evening;
- the single thing is my room in the basement floor was probably near some big boiler or wash machine, there was a bit of a hum at night.
Good clean room, kitchen with fridge and cooking equipment, Toilet with shower. Cant complaint for the £49, except that my TV didnt work. Glad to have a smartphone as free wi-fi, so BBC I-Player etc on phone.
Summary
Really excellent rooms in the centre of london, great value for money - i paid £50, booked a single, and they gave me a double with a kitchenette. The bathroom was clean and modern, the bed comfy, and although i didn't use it, the kitchenette was well equipped. You even get an iron and ironing board! My only gripe was the noise from the other guests right outside my door at 1am, not the hotel's fault, but i wish other travelers would be a bit more considerate!
Summary
Great location, just a few minutes from tube & restaurants. Newly refurbished room was compact but clean. Bed was comfortable.
Ground floor rm was a bit noisy with guests checking in etc but no major complaints.
Small Hotel, but the room was very big and new.
The place was very clean and the decoration and lighting was simple but with style.
Lovely place to stay :)
Great place at a great place. At 55 pounds/night you can't get better value in Paddington.
Summary
Staff is nice and the decoration in the room is also nice.
The only bad thing is that it is not really located at the city center, but still it takes just 10 mins to the center area by metro.
Overall, this hotel is good.
I stayed for a week in a double room, although I only booked single. I'm working in London, but live some distance away, so stay in London during the week and return home on weekends. The room was large for the price, considering London standards, especially compared to the postage-stamp sized room I stayed in the previous week! Lots of room to walk around and store luggage. Complimentary coffe and tea with kettle in the room, along with ioroning board (table top) and iron. Bathrrom was very modern and clean, and spacious enough. Shower was a good size (not a closet like some London hotels), with good pressure.
Although this was a basement apartment, it had a walkout to the back garden (not much of a garden, but convenient for smokers like me). The hotel has fridge, microwave and cooker available for guests to use. Staff was very good to deal with, friendly and very helpful. Room was cleaned and refreshed every day.
I will definitely be staying in this hotel again - already made bookings for the next few weeks - and definitely recommed it.
Customer service at the hotel was all to be expected - friendly and welcoming! The room wasn't huge,but it wasn't tiny either, decorated very well, comfortable bed, very modern. We had just a shower, plenty of hot water and very clean. We were rather impressed that our room was cleaned whilst we were there, as we only stayed 2 nights. Had a tv with the basic channels, which were fine. Also had an iron and ironing board...which was very convenient! The only downside was, because it was a Georgian house converted in to a hotel, the walls were rather thin...so you could hear people coming up and down the stairs. And if you were travelling with a child, the window wasn't very safe, it opened like a door...so you would have to keep it closed!! Other than that, we had a pleasent stay :-)
