Superb

The hotel exceeded my expectations. I was travelling with my son. We were very friendly welcomed! The room was outstanding and was available on arrival (09.00 a.m.). The only comment I\'ve is that they didn\'t know anything about train alterations. And the hotel is next to the railway station (Liverpoolstreet) and many hotelguests come by train (I suppose)!

Convenient luxury

Great, if pricey, hotel in a very good position (100 meters from Liverpool Street station). Interesting check in experience (roaming hosts with tablet computers and not a check in desk or queue in sight) with attentive and polite staff. Decent coffee in reception on arrival a nice touch. Room very well appointed (we were upgraded) with everything one could ask for. Two small snacks (nuts and biscuits) and range of soft drinks included in room rate. Comfortable bed. Good bathroom. Quiet room. Everything we needed.
Good Champagne Bar serving drinks late into the night, with pleasant bar staff. Bit pricey, but worth it for the quality of the service and the general ambiance of the bar.
Staff great on check out too. Would recommend and definitely use again.

Fantastic

We stayed on 16/12/2011, the staff were fantastic, good old fashioned service, nothing was too much trouble, from start to finish in every area of the hotel, we had a fabulous stay. Hotel was great, very clean, comforting and very arty. I can't say enough. The value was great and would definitely stay again and again. Breakfast delicious. This hotel and the superior service was second to none, one of the best we have ever stayed at. The hotel must pride itself on customer service. Thank you so much.

Andaz Review

Very stylish boutique hotel with extremely friendly and professional staff. Download the Andaz app and you can request services from your phone, nice touch. Ask to look at the masonic temple if you get a chance, very impressive. There is a 2nd one but its been converted to a fully equipped gym. Didn't use the bars or restaurants but I work in the area and know that they to ar excellent. My partner is an interior designer and she loved it, taking photos everywhere. Highly recommended.

Great hotel

It's refreshing to stay in a hotel where the staff are extremely attentive to their customers needs. From the moment we arrived, we were sat down with a drink whilst being checked in on iPads. Other pluses included free wifi, free soft drinks and nibbles in the room, and good location for the weekend being close to public transport connections to west end but far enough away from the west end to provide a more comfortable room for the price and away from the hordes!
Only possible criticisms were that the champagne bar did not have much of an atmosphere at 11.30 and the English breakfast tea in the room tasted odd. These are quite minor and would not stop me booking again.

Modern customer oriented hotel

The hotel meets the high standard you would expect for a rating at this level. Customer service was excellent and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We did have a couple of issues however these were dealt with very quickly without fuss.
My only issue that caused a problem was that being so close to Liverpool Street Station in the room we were in we could hear the rail announcements. Previously I have stayed here and not had this issue at all.

Luxury on a budget

First let me say that I have stayed in the Andaz previously and so had expectations of nothing but the best quality throughout the experience. Prior to arriving I contacted the hotel just to confirm my reservation and was told I had been booked a room two grades down from my previous booking. I was not particularly impressed with this but the staff assured me they would look into it and try to find a solution.
We arrived late and were met by a staff member who checked us in promptly and informed us that we had been upgraded which was a great relief. This is typical of the attitude of the staff and hotel. Everything is geared around the best possible experience for the resident and the staff pleasant and courteous at all times.
The quality of the room and restaurants, the cleanliness and the seamless way the staff welcome you into the beautiful understated comfort of the hotel is exemplary, particularly in London and I would recommend this hotel to anyone with complete faith in its abilities to deliver every time.

London Weekend Break

My daughter (14) and I stayed at the Andaz for 2 nights on a recent weekend break to London. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and were happy to provide advice on use of public transport and directions to attractions. The room was not particularly spacious but was very clean. The provision of free snacks and soft drinks in the room were also a welcome addition to the trip. We were able to leave our luggage several hours prior to check in and were also asked if we wanted our luggage kept after check out. This allowed us to make the most of our last day in the city and avoided any left luggage charges. I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable hotel room in the city.

Staying as a family of 3 and very impressed that not only did we have extra bed in the room we also had 3 of everything from towels to cups to glasses to slippers. Excellent as if not there is very annoying.
Good that soft drinks on the house with no hidden extras.

Interesting location, great hotel

Sadly there was no twin room available for us as the request did not reach the Andaz from Laterooms.com. However we were given a disabled room with no bath but plenty of hand rails! We just had to wait for the housekeeping department to split the king bed into twins, which was no problem. Our reservation with laterooms said we would have a spacious twin room with an extra bed for a child if needed, this was not what had and this can only be blamed on Laterooms and not the hotel, they tried to accommodate us as best as they could. The food in the restaurant (to the side of the hotel with its own entrance), was divine, and service supberb. This was the third time I have stayed at this hotel and without doubt the best breakfast in London, cooked fresh in the same restaurant, sensibly priced too. I have booked again as I have another function in London. Taxi too and from Waterloo, £20.00 in traffic and about £11.00 without and the same into Soho oddly enough, I think Taxi drivers taken scenic route!!

Perfectly delightful accomodation

We were very satisfied with our stay in the Andaz. It is not outstanding but very comfortable and clean. The room was not huge but certainly not too small. The only 'complaint' we would have was that due to them being very busy on the evening we arrived we did not have the pleasure of the described booking in experience, i.e. we had to wait for a while and no one took our bags to the room. Also, on one occassion, no one answered the phone when we called room service. Having said that the staff are very helpful and pleasant and these things were minor blips in an otherwise delightful stay.

Hotel very impressive and the free soft drinks and snacks were very welcome as was the free wifi

Very welcoming, the open plan reception a bit confusing at first as no one was around when we arrived and there is no "reception" sign however once we realised the set up the staff were very helpful. My only complaint during the whole experience would be the very noisy plumbing, which in our own room was extremely noisy but unfortunately the sound would eminate from other rooms during the night.

Could not fault customer service, everyone so helpful. Particularly Manni who gave us guided tour of hotel even showing us the amazing Masonic Temple that was discovered on refurbishment. Loved the contemporary interior and calm atmosphere, best location we have stayed in. Liverpool street station is next door for access to all tourist attractions and Spitalfields market and Petticoat lane only stones throw away. Restaurants a little pricey but great choice of eating places nearby. Loved it!

We stayed here for my birthday treat, and as soon as the staff heard the reason for our visit, our room was upgraded at no extra cost. The room was lovely, with a bed which was itself bigger than our bedroom at home! We were offered a complimentary breakfast as well due to a slight delay in processing our order.
Very friendly efficient staff, a very luxurious but comfortable hotel in easy reach of the city.

Great base in the City

We stayed here for convenience as the location was perfect for a night out we were on.
As you walk in, it's a little confusing as there is no instantly identifyable check in desk but we were approached by a member of staff and taken through the somewhat lengthy procedure.
We were shown to our room and then called within minutes to be told about breakfast options.
The room was very dark with only an interior window although that meant it was great for sleeping as we weren't woken up by daylight or traffic noise - it was very quiet.
Room was very clean and had free healthy mini-bar, wifi etc. Amenities were very nice and the bathroom wasn't a bad size. Bed was comfy and the linens were great.
My only grumble was the environmentally water saving in the bathroom - the toilets flush like ones on airplanes and woke my husband during the night when I got up! It was so loud!! If you were staying for any length of time I would imagine it would drive you mad!
What set this hotel apart for me was the complimentary bar in the lobby. With free wine and water plus olives and sushi to nibble this was a fantastic addition and one we enjoyed before we went out for dinner. A really, nice touch.
We didn't eat in the hotel although you have plenty of choices and I've heard great things about the restaurants so next time we'll go to the japanese restaurant.
Overall, I was pleased with the hotel and would stay again.

Stayed for a single night in a standard room. Found the bed to be extremely uncomfortable, hard and lumpy.
Due to the layout of the room, the conversation of every guest that passed the room could be clearly heard. We were woken several times during the night by loud guests walking through the corridor.
On the plus side, I was contacted promptly after giving feedback on the comments card.

Hotel is right nect to Liverpool Street station, but there is no noise from this location. Very short walk to pubs, shops restaurants and the very nice Spittlefields market as well as Brick Lane & Petticoat Lane market.
Would definately use this hotel again especially with the late room discount received.

Trendy (silly) mobile check-in does not deliver. Stand offish reception staff. Great rooms.

Extra bed in each room, (booked 2) not requested, later removed. Check in was poor - 2 staff, both of whom pointed to eachother to decide who would look after us. Trendy mobile check-in which does not deliver. Stand off-ish staff. Hotel insisted on guests credit card when checking in even though I booked the rooms as a gift through late rooms - the only solution was to travel to the hotel myself (not staying there) to fill out a form with my credit card details to pay for both rooms on check out. It's a good job that I live in London. Rooms and breakfast excellent. reception/guest relations just need to step up - great looking hotel, but let's itself down at the door, shame.

Came for weekend with my father. Excellent location next to Liverpool Street Station, ideal to see West Ham United and the city sights. The iPad check in a new experience. Room was a bit smaller than I expected but was good, however as they included breakfast (which was excellent) by error which would have cost £20 a day each I made it quits.
Ask to see the Temple, a 19th centuary masonic room, it's just out of 'Eyes Wide Shut'.

The Andaz Hotel was well situated with ease of access to Central London. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We were very impressed that, on checking in to our room, a bed had already been made up for our son and a third set of bath towels etc. were in the bathroom. Too often we book a room requesting an additional bed and have to ask again for it on arrival. The gift of the Teddy Bear and slippers for our son also went down extremely well. The accommodation was of a very good standard and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. If we had had to pay the full price for the bedroom we stayed in I think we would have been a little disappointed in the size of the room but the price through LateRooms was excellent value.

Mostly good, but some aspects disappointing

The hotel had the potential to be lovely with excellent staff, excellent food, great location, stylish decoration and good facilities. However, we encountered some issues which were a bit disappointing; namely the WIFI wasn't working for several hours of our stay and the shower temperature oscillated from hot to cold to hot, which was most unpleasant. Also, one has to question the wisdom of providing a fixed hair-dryer on the opposite side of the room to the mirror!
