The Andaz is a bit of an anomaly in this town being a hip, designer hotel right on top of a railway station. Whilst its red-brick façade hasn’t changed much since 1868, behind it are extraordinary interiors where original Victorian details are juxtaposed with modern design to create an experience unique to the Square Mile. Original details still retain their wow factor - fireplaces the size of closets and intricate plaster moldings on the ceilings whilst the modern will amaze you like the six-story atrium influenced by the Guggenheim in New York.
