I booked the Andaz as recommended by a friend and it couldn't have been more perfect. From the moment we entered the hotel we were looked after by the smart and friendly staff. We even got a complimentary late check out as it was my birthday. We took the opportunity to order room service from the sushi restaurant, Miyko and I must say it is the best room service we have ever had. It arrived on time and was so delicious we were still raving about it the next day.I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues and will hopefully be back again soon.

Plumbing is very noisy, our and other rooms, very weird.Light in wardrobe wouldnt go off, fridge door wouldnt close, no hairdryermini bar empty on arrival BUTWe did get an upgrade to a King sized room AND they did open a locked window to let some much needed fresh air into the room.Must try harder!!!Brian Kirk

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Liverpool Street Andaz. On arrival I was able to check in immediately. The greeter was friendly without being creepy, and professional. I was also able to ensure that my travelling companions room was moved next door to mine with very little fuss.My room was clean and fresh smelling with a large bathroom and a very comfy bed. The free mini-bar was also a treat with fresh juices and snacks. A very small negative is that there were no ironing facilities in the room.I had an undisturbed nights sleep whilst check out was fast and simple. We were also able to leave out suitcases at the hotel, enabling us to sightsee.I can't comment on the food as everything was so expensive we went elsewhere.Overall, the accomodation was great!

Excellent hotel for a city break. We got a special rate for a large and quiet room with a king size bed and a camp bed for our 10 year old son. Friendly staff, and some very nice touches, such as a teddy bear on our son's bed; and complementary healthy (or not so healthy white chocolate covered almonds!) snacks and drinks and complementary internet access. We didn't eat there - breakfast was not included and was an eyewatering £23 per person. But there are plenty of places to eat around the bustling Liverpool Street St. including the fantastic S&M Cafe in Brushfield Street which does a great breakfast. All in all, a realy good place to stay, and very convenient for London attractions.

The Andaz is a lovely hotel and the staff are very friendly. The only things that let it down were;1) We drove to the hotel. The recommended car park was at London wall, which was a 10 minute walk from the hotel and very difficult to find. 2) The bar and restaurant are not open on saturdays! So dont be fooled by the nice pretty pictures, cos you wont see them. Really we should have been told this!I would happily stay there again though.

Took a weekend away without the kids. Hotel is perfectly located, there must be well over a hundred eateries within half a mile, also close to Spitalfields market, St. Pauls, and within 100metres of tube for those who dont want to walk. Our room was very spacious, and clean. The staff were polite, and at the price we got it from Laterooms, it was great value.Best of all was the bed, we have stayed in hundreds of hotels across the globe, and this is the first time we have had a bed as comfortable as the one you have at home! Our room was also quiet, and had piping hot water by the bath load. In fact we both had a bath, after a long day walking, and the hot water coming out was still hot enough to scold afterwards.Didn't use the gym, or the hotel restaurant, not with Brick Lane around the corner, so cant comment on that, but they had 6 restaurants to choose from. I'm sure if we had brought the kids, they'd have been happy to, plenty of room. Free minibar, good sized bathroom and tv. Plus free internet for those who are interested.

I specifically sought out the Andaz after having such a good stay there the last time. I only expected disappointment because ofetn the first time will always be the best. However i have to give the hotel, it's staff and it's ethos credit, this time around i enjoyed my stay even more. Fantastic, attentive, knowledgable staff. Relaxed, comfortable, contemporary surroundings. Just a joy to stay there. I will definately be back.

My friend and I were a bit confused by the floating reception technique used as no one seemed to be aware who was the first arrival to see. We were however well looked after when we were finally found. The room was expansive and spotless and having free access to the internet and local calls a very good customer plus. We loved having The George bar in the hotel which is still very much an old London pub, very friendly with great atmosphere; this is a real asset against the stifled, snooty bars you normally get in hotels nowadays. We loved also the ease of transport and availability of taxis without long queues in this area, making travelling great everytime. With London Bridge and the Tower so close it was so good to get to where you wanted to go with ease. An excellent location for this part of London.

I realise this was booked on a secret room non-refundable deal, but thought there would have been some exception on medical grounds. Notice was given that we were unable to use the reservation, I was told even with a medical note there would be no chance of cancelling and full payment would be taken.

The accomodation was great. The cleanliness was top notch. Room Service was a bit of a chore. Where as generally you can pay this at the end when you vacate your room. It was insisted that we pay in cash straight away. As we did not have the cash available, we had to go to reception to pay by card. Not very happy with this. When we got the final bill, this was added to the final bill and then refunded. Didn't really see the point of this.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in! Very comfortable bed, great food on the room service menu and bathroom products to die for. Good value under a laterooms special offer - not sure I'd pay top whack. If you can get a deal, I'd recommend it.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. From walking into this hotel and being given a choice of coffee at check in through to the fantastically funky yet classy room, this hotel is amongst the best I have stayed in. We had an excellent weekend. The hotel is on Liverpool Street and is ideal for a stroll round Spitalfields and Brick Lane markets on a Sunday morning ! Or you can just jump on the tube if you are heading for a show in the West End. The staff are ultra helpful and very friendly. The hotel decor in this old Victorian hotel is excellent and it has a couple of good restaurants and a great pub called The George. The complimentary mini bar is a nice touch.Parking is available in walking distance at a reasonable rate.

This was the best hotel i have ever stayed in and I will be visiting it again. Everything was seemless. Beautiful hotel, very clean and friendly. Very comfortable bed. Very warm which was a godsend as it was so cold outside. The location was fantastic, right next to the Liverpool Street tube station although you wouldn't know it as once inside the hotel you couldn't hear a thing. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Quite refreshing was this hotel. A modern departure from the tired old institution of reception desk methods. There was a pleasant atmosphere from staff who actually seemed to want to serve the customers as opposed to seeing them as an obstacle to overcome before the shift ends.I liked the use of technology for check in/out and the warm welcome for me & my young family. The location is very handy, being adjacent to Liverpool St station and the accomodation was overall very satisfactory.

Simple room, smaller than expected and short on tolietries; a good bed though.Staff were a little cold, officious and somewhat penny-pinching, e.g. they seemed preoccupied with closing the doors to the complementary coffee machine despite the growing line of guests.I have always preferred Hyatt, particularly the Regency, and Sheraton. If Andaz really is a representastive of a new brand from Hyatt, I'll be returning to the consistent.y good Sheraton.

The andaz is a fabulous-looking hotel and the staff are ultra friendly, helpful and professional. I stayed here in the run-up to Christmas and was unfortunately given a room on the third floor right above the bar. I didn't get to sleep until 2am from the noise. The staff apologised, sorted the problem out without a fuss and offered a late check out so I could get extra rest. So I would stay here again but I'd ask to be placed away from the open staircase if you want a good night's rest.

Stayed here on a Secret room deal from Laterooms. Beautiful hotel with great room and decor. Didn't eat here as the small breakfast was a bit steep at #20 each and lots of better alternatives nearby. Room and bathroom excellent and v comfy. Were charged wrong room price at check in but this was eventually sorted out. City area shuts on Saturday but only a short tube /taxi ride to everything that's happening in London. Hotel fish restaurant looked good - but we found a cosy Italian nearby. Friday night area was buzzing with after work diners having meal/drinks before home.

The hotel itself was very impressive and clearly brand new. Service was great and probably the only hotel I've ever been to where I didn't have to queue to check in! They even threw in a teddy bear for my 7 year old daughter. Brilliant and would use again although didn't eat there.

They got the booking wrong so I couldn't check in with my daughter at 4pm because the room wasn't ready. We had to use the gym facilities to get showered & ready to go out and checked in to our room - finally - when we returned from the theatrew after 10pm.The room was really noisy with a party going on until the early hours. The literature in the room even has the cheek to suggest calling reception for earplugs!!Breakfast was a farce. First the order was lost, then they got it wrong second time. And finally they ran out of sausages - on a sunday morning! - and so my 9 year old daughters special treat in London for the weekend all fell a bit flat - the booking was wrong, the room wasn't ready, we couldn't sleep and she couldn't even have a proper cooked breakfast. Hardly 5*. I would not book this hotel again - there are plenty of better hotels around in London that have an eye for detail and customer service.

I took my son and his friends to the hotel for an 18th birthday celebration. They lived the rock band fantasy in an amazing room with a giant bed, separate sitting room, two TVs and a giant bathroom. And a free mini bar (even if it was only fruit juice and water). By day they explored the supercool vintage clothing and music shops in nearby Brick Lane. A great choice.
