If you're heading to London by train or heading off to Europe on the Eurostar, Ambassadors Bloomsbury could barely be in a more perfect location, just five to 10 minutes walk from both Kings Cross St. Pancras and Euston. Being this close allows you to speed past the stationary traffic while enjoying the fresh air and avoiding the tube. As its name suggests, the hotel is situated close to the ever popular area of Bloomsbury, home to the world renowned British Museum, and walking distance from the West End's numerous theatres, bars and restaurants.

What to Expect - The Welcome

Behind the façade of this Belle Epoque building is a modern and stylish hotel providing every comfort for today's discerning traveller. From the moment you arrive at the contemporary reception you know that you're in for a special stay with a friendly greeting from the staff on reception who are always happy to help, whatever the request. If you arrive early you can drop your bags off and spend the rest of the day exploring London without having to haul your baggage around the city.

What to Expect - Rooms

Rooms at Ambassadors Bloomsbury are minimalistic and modern but with everything you need for a good night's sleep - including a very comfortable bed. The large bathrooms, basking in a cool green glow from the glass surrounds, are in a "wet room" style so don't forget to make sure you don't leave your towel on the floor while enjoying the hot, powerful shower. You also get free Wi-Fi in the rooms so you can catch up with work at the desk provided or sit back and let people know how you're getting on if you are lucky enough to be there on leisure. Other highlights include individually controlled air conditioning, flat screen TV, safe, and complimentary access to the health club should you be energetic enough.

Room sizes do vary, but they are not too bad at all by London standards, but if you are staying for a few nights and can afford the extra, it is worth upgrading to a deluxe room for a wonderful king sized bed and larger room.

What to Expect - Dining

As well as being a top class 4* hotel, Ambassadors Bloomsbury has a restaurant to match. Number Twelve is a modern Italian eatery open for breakfast, lunch (12:00 - 15:00) and dinner (17:30 - 22:15) Monday to Saturday but is closed on Sundays for all but breakfast. Food is top notch and immaculately presented, representing excellent value with a two-course set menu for just £19.50 per person. The adjoining stylish bar opens from 10am until late seven days a week with drinks promotions available most evenings.

Anything Else?

Built in the late 1800's, Ambassadors Bloomsbury has transformed itself into a modern, hip hotel with service that is hard to top. The hotel could barely be more convenient for travellers using the nearby train stations and rooms offer everything you need for an enjoyable stay in London.
