The room suffered from a great deal of noise from the street even though we were down one side. The room was about the size and quality of Holiday Inn accomodation. The concierge was very helpful and friendly

We stayed here for a weekend break, and found it to be a lovely modern hotel, very well presented and of a high standard. Free Wi-fi in the rooms, good quality breakfast and excellent service and staff were very obliging. The room wasn't huge, but we didn't find it too small, it was perfectly adequate and was very well appointed. And lets face it - on a trip to London you're probably not going to be spending much time in your hotel room anyway, so it was absolutely fine. It's in a good location, just round the corner from Euston Station, and we wasily walked into Leicester Square and many of the tourist spots, although the tube station is also nearby which we used on the last day to save our feet. All in all, a great experience and we would stay here again.

Once one has accepted the fact that even dirty, unwelcoming London hotel rooms are extremely expensive, one can appreciate the Ambassador Bloomsbury hotel even more as a good value. I stayed in a standard single room, which was miniscule, but as well designed with attention to the details of comfort and convenience as a ship captain's quarters. The location is excellent, within walking distance from Euston, Saint Pancras, and the Heathrow train. There is free wireless. The rooms are spotless and modern. I appreciate the versatile and sensible lighting, the multiple outlets, the forceful shower (wonderful for quickly getting rid of that awful transatlantic airline film), the little niceties like organic tea and good quality bath amenities such as a heated towel rack and nice moisturizer and shampoo. The thick windows really do block out all noise from the street, though they can be tilted for fresh air. heard minimal and not disturbing noise from neighboring rooms. The front desk staff is EXCELLENT~ warm, welcoming, and gave me helpful information unsolicited. I have stayed here twice, though, and there was a 30 pound difference between my nightly rates.

This is a great hotel, very close to Euston Station, so great for tube and mainline connections. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms was clean and bright. The only drawback was it was quite a small room, so you need to get on with the person you are sharing with! I shall definitely be returning.

Everybody at the hotel was helpful and pleasent, we had a twin bedded room obviously at the back of the hotel, and found it a bit on the small side considering the price of the room, however we only stayed one night so it didn't matter that much to us. The breakfast we had was very good value and all the staff were friendly, I would stay there again - this is our second time at the hotel.

I've stayed here many times, using Late Rooms. The staff are invariably helpful and friendly. The comfortable foyer and bar are good places to work or wait. The rooms are very compact - tiny wardrobe and desk - but fine for a night or two. No biscuits or cake available with tea, just sandwiches at £7-£8. Free wireless access.

I stayed at the Ambassadors in Bloomsbury with my wife and two adult daughters for two nights over Easter. Its a good mid-range hotel near to central London with very good access to public transport. The rooms are on the small side by roomy by central london standards. "Bathroom" is very small but functional. Breakfast is mediocre at best - full english breakfast is very stodgy, fruit selection varied between scarce and non-existent - croissants and danish pastry were in poor supply - cheese was nice - coffee was awful - and the cappuccino version was grim. Front desk staff were very helpful, much more so than staff in the breakfast room. But don't let this put you off, its a good hotel generally if all you want is somewhere safe, clean and reasonably comfortable in central london.

This is a nice hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms, but for the premium they charge over and above other chain options within a very short distance, the differentiation between the Ibis (for example) and here is not that great and yet the rack rate for a room is more than twice the rate of other options in the area. The bed was large and comfortable, but in order to accommodate it, the room was small and felt cramped., The wardrobe was a magnificent example of space utilisation, but with one jacket and one shirt hung up there was room for little else. No drawers would fit other clothes and there was no room for luggage to be stored. Had I been staying more than one night, this would have been extremely irritating. The bathroom is essentially a shower/wet room with a washbasin that wouldn't be out of place on a train or aeroplane. Didn't have breakfast - which was not included in the room. I strongly recommend turning left and left again out of the hotel and within 1 minute you will be outside 'Wot The Dickens' - a fine cafe doing a very reasonable full english breakfast with coffee for less than a fiver.

Having spent a couple of hours looking at reviews and being put off many hotels we settled for the Bloomsbury Ambassador being the one with the least negative comments. We were pleased with the hotel in general, a first class location, the room was a liitle on the small side although the extra large bed could be the reason for thinking this. The standard of the room was excellent, very modern with wall mounted tv and the en suite was of a good standard. There was little by way of storage space with the wardrobe having only 4 hangers with no room for more albeit sufficient for a weekend stay. Breakfast was of a decent standard with continental and cooked available. We had one drink in the bar and got 10 p change from a tenner for a g&t and a pint. The reception staff were helpful with directions and maps. All in all good experience and I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

This hotel provides an excellent base if you are out and about in London. The rooms are a bit small, but perfectly adequate if you are out all day. Breakfast was OK - didn't try the full English, but the continental offered a good choice. The only negative was that the toast and croissants were both cold. However, we had dinner there before catching the train home and that was an excellent meal. All of the staff we met were polite, friendly and helpful. It was great that they stored our bags on arrival before the room was ready and during the next day while we were out and about. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was in a good location and the staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms were clean but ours was disappointingly small. The other couple we were with had a bigger room so they must have various sizes. However the breakfast was so good that it was worth booking into this hotel for. Just check that your room is a decent size before booking.

A good location in central London and the staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast fine .But we booked a superior double room - and if it was superior can't imagine what standard was like. The room was tiny with a view of a wall and the air conditioning ducts. No room to store anything at all - so OK for an overnight stay but not really for a relaxing weekend break.

There's nothing horrific about this hotel, but the rooms are tiny and it feels quite basic - the bed isn't very sturdy, there's minimal wardrobe space, the heating was a bit temperamental. The bathroom facilities looked quite nice but the space is just too small to be very practicable for more than a night. We paid a lot for the room because it was New Year's Eve, but even if it was half the price, I think there are far better deals to be had in central London. The location was probably the best thing about it.

I like this hotel, very convenient for Euston and the West End, rooms always immaculate. The standard rooms are quite small though and make the value less than perfect. I have stayed in a suite previously which was amazing, but good deals on the suites are few and far between. The restaurant ('Twelve') is fantastic - delicious food at reasonable prices for a posh London restaurant.

Nice hotel - very modern furnishings. My room wasn't as small as I had read it may be, huge comfy bed. Had reasonably priced continental in the morning. Main problem was that the fire alarm went off at 6.50 - assuming this was someone having a shower as there are no fans in the (very small) bathrooms- have read of fire alarms going off on multiple occasions in this hotel. Also had a few problems checking out as I was told I had eggs and soldiers for breakfast - I most definitely didn't! other than that, good hotel, very close to Euston tube station.

Please note that the restaurant is only open on Mondays with a very limited and bland menu as the restaurant is actually closed to others on Mondays. I think it was just a choice of 3 starters, 3 main courses and maybe just 2 desserts. I opted for room service instead. The food was nice but expensive. 12.5% was added onto the total for service as well as another £5 for tray charge!

I am not a big fan of modern hotels as I like character however this had a lot of single women on business there and so felt right, it felt professional and safe, very speedy check in and out with pro active can they take care of my bags and have a good day in a sincere fashion. Room had double bed event though single which was fine, no bath but good walk in shower. Plenty of tea and coffee and milk, hairdryer. My view was fire escape but fine with blinds. Had a sound nights sleep heard nothing even though on first floor, Not much to do nearby at nights though but Hotel clean efficient presentable, on the value for money front not really as I paid £149 for one night with no breakfast included so a bit pricey but would recommend for single business ravel right near Euston so great location and probably worth it. The bar was empty so safe, but the drinks ridiculous at 6.95 for a small glass of wine ! but other places a short walk away so not all bad.

Pleasant staff and proactive concierge (asked those waiting in the queue to settle their bills if they wished to have their luggage stored for the day). Very convenient for Euston Station! On-line info referred to large rooms - I was 'upgraded' to a double - a very small room! While I appreciate the effort towards the environment, the outside of the bottle that held the recyclable water was smeared and sticky - most off-putting and consequently I didn't drink it.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. Room was on the small side with no shelves in bathroom to hold stuff. The wardrobe was tiny although there were morrors alongside the hair dryer which was a plus point. Bed was fairly comfortable but creaked too much, which was awkward when we needed to get up in the night. The bathroom was nicely decorated in green glass but the door was glass too, which again was awkward when using it at night as the light was bright. Considering this was described as a 'superior room', I don't what the ordinary ones were like!
