Very nice hotel - highly recommended

A couple staying in a double executive room for 2 nights (weekend 27th January - 29th January 2012). Staff were very polite. I emailed the hotel before our stay, and I was very pleased with the help and advice I got and also the quickness of the replies. I would recommend this hotel to small groups, as is very friendly and is located in easy reach of many facilities.

My wife and i both enjoyed our 2 night stay over the xmas period.The room was very comfortable and very clean.We found that all staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.We will book again.

Aerodrome, now Hallmark

This hotel has had a recent facelift which has upgraded the accommodation and public rooms without losing the character of the old Aerodrome Hotel. It is now very comfortable and clean. The food was good before and is still good.

Attractive Hotel Letdown by reception

Being a frequent traveller I have spent many a night in hotels worldwide. This hotel has had a particularly attractive face-lift in the last 3 months. Rooms are excellent, the deluxe double would give the "benchmark" Hilton a run for it's money. Size of bed is generous and the bathrooms are contemporary in decor. Only thing that lets this place down is the reception, their "system" seemed slow with staff almost embarrassed by it's speed and the resultant queues to check in/out were unacceptable.

Really nice

The new rooms are very nice and have a bedroom feel to it instead of a hotel room. very nice and I flet comfortable and at home. The bed was soft anmd bouncy and the I didn't have any noise issues when staying there. Very happy!

Good hotel but very noisy

Our room was on the small side but had been recently refurbished and was very clean. The new reception area looks stunning and both the restaurant and bar look like they are worth a visit. The only things we were disappointed with were the parking, which (at least at the moment) is very restricted due to building work going on outside the hotel. Furthermore this seems to be a popular venue for weddings and as our room was on the second floor we were treated to the sound of a wedding disco until midnight. A phonecall to reception revealed that they could not help us as the hotel was fully booked. I would recommend asking for a room on a top floor to get well away from both street noise and any possible functions going on.
