For the price we paid (circa 65gbp) it was a really nice place....that is if you didn't look at the carpet. The sheets lovely and clean, bathroom clean, carpet - well I assume it had been hoovered but it needs replacing.

Summary
Paid 60 pounds for night- good value given location. Friendly staff.
Negatives- poor breakfast- only cereal and toast available, also room became cold during night and very thin duvet
Clean comfortable and handy for the tube.
Summary
Represents good value for money in an ideal location for visiting Earls Court Exhibition Centre
Summary
It wasn't a good experiance to visit abcone hotel in London though it is in central london and the money they charge is very low but even they should at least clean the carpet of rooms well and serve a good breakfast. the quality of room and food was poor.
Summary
The staff were very polite and helpful, showers were cold, no hot water. breakfast was a bowl of cereal and 2 slices of toast, only coffee offered, no tea, anything else was extra and not offered also. room was clean and tidy, comfy bed also. not the best value for money.
Summary
Disappointed with breakfast
Summary
Our stay was no one I would want to experience again!
It was one of the coldest night this year and the heating was not working.
The reception did not inform us before or after taking the money off my credit card.
There was a small electric radiator left in the room that was switch off.
The room was icy cold and bathroom had no means of heating it.
Also the toilet flush was broken, sink and bath plug were both broken, wall plug sockets near the door out of order.
Although the staff were pleasant enough, but we received no apology for our discomfort and were not warned there was not heating on such a cold night.
This hotel was awful. The room was very small and stunk of mould. There was no hot water, the taps and plug holes were rusty and the shower controls were broken. The shower head was so blocked that very little water came out anyway. The carpet was very grubby. The windows needed replacing. The so called continental breakfast was a few packets of cereal, toast and some plastic cheese which was all self service.
Summary
If you are offered room 24 be aware it is very small as is the bath room in this room.
Summary
Friendly welcome. Electric fan and fridge in room a bonus.
Summary
Staff did their best, room was clean but the carpet had big black stains. Not easy when there was so little carpet area as the room was so small.
I paid £170 for a night Bed and continental breakfast - far too much even by London standards.
I was in a single room, which was tiny, and quite dated, but clean enough. It was fine for an overnight stay, but I would have found it just far too small for longer.
Summary
After staying nearby recently I was pleasantly surprised by the Abcone. A nice small hotel in an excellent location. Rooms were 'tired' but clean and well furnished. I loved my Balcony! Staff were helpful and friendly.
Summary
Visiting London for work happens about 4 times a year, usually in the summer. I run a contemporary jewellery gallery in central Bristol and my mission is to find unusual beautifully crafted work for my shop. So last week was London Jewellery Week and I spent 2 exhausting but spiritually uplifting days trailing round hundreds of stands at Treasure exhibition in the basement of Victoria House. I had decided to treat myself and spend more than the £65-£80 I usually budget for a hotel room in London. So I chose Abcone which was going to cost over £100, for it's situation near Gloucester Road tube which is on the Picadilly Line and so a direct route to Holborn. The room was adequate - it had a bed, a wardrobe and dressing table all squashed in to the smallest space imaginable. The light over the mirror was tantalising as the switch wouldn't budge. I slept like a log after my foot slogging day, and appearing for breakfast at 9.45 found I was too late. Not the luxury I had imagined
but jolly handy for the tube and very clean.
The hotel is easy walking distance to museums and the West End; an easy walk along Hyde Park to Park Lane. it is in a very quiet side street off the Cromwell Rd, so we slept well. We were able to park outside the hotel to unload, moving our car to the Holiday Inn car park across the street for the weekend (£30). Would certainly stay again.
Summary
Plus points: good for access to central London, nice neighbourhood. friendly and helpful staff, reasonable price for location.
Minus points: no sound proofing, shower in need of repair, obsolete TV system with no remote, meagre breakfast - couple of boiled eggs would have gone a long way.
I booked this hotel for it's location (close The Royal Albert Hall) and from the website it looked respectable. My Mother and I arrived around 1830 and were checked in by a friendly receptionists, unfortunately that was the end of our positives experience of our stay. We had a twin room on the top floor which had a dated bathroom with a shower that was not very powerful and only seemed to have one temperature (luke warm). The bed throws were filthy and the walls a very thin - we were woken up by our neighbours at the early hours of the morning. Breakfast was terrible! There was only the offer of cereal and/or toast with a limited option of toppings. There were 3 staff 'on duty' who spent the whole time watching you as if to hurry you up and seemed put out when another guest asked for more toast! One of the waitresses came out of the kitchen wearing flip flops - I am sure that's against food hygiene regulations!? The final straw was as we departed there was a pile of dirty ben linen on the floor of the restaurant (a lose term) - the mind boggles. I wouldn't want to be the manager next time there was a food hygiene inspection! Needless to say I will not be returning to this disappointing establishment.
Summary
Hotel is in a good location near Gloucester Road tube. Room G2 has a nice bathroom and was clean. The bedroom has no heating and the kingsize twin bed was too big for the room, it was ok.
Breakfast room nice and breakfast was good, toast and cereal, no cooked breakfast.
Conveniently sited, two stops on tube from Paddington and 5 minuies walk from tube, in elegant and quiet district, surrounded by excellent pubs and restaurants. Clean, modern furnishings, unpretentious, friendly staff, basic continental breakfast. Ideal for business or short trips.
Summary
Hotel fantastically located about 10 mins from Gloucester Road Tube and ideal for the Museums and the Albert Hall which is about 20 mins away straight up the road.
Room was compact and no heat in bathroom. Both were clean however and the foam bed surprisingly comfortable. Old 14"" TV on the wall which had a few channels which were all over the place and difficult to negociate when watching.
Staff were very friendly and helpful where possible.
The only real downside to this place was the breakfast which consisted of cereal and toast and cheese slices (Craft). The waitress had to be asked for tea/coffee and was not to pleased to serve it! We skipped it on 2nd day as were very dissapointed but this is a personal opinion but would have liked even a bowl of fresh fruit.
Some good eating houses in the Area and Harrods is only 30mins walk and Waitrose round the corner.
Excellent location; polite young staff. However, guest complaints ignored by management, such as overheating minibar fridge in the middle of summer with no switch off, burning hot shower, no means of regulating; plugged up sink; defective sink lever. Shower complaints from several customers.
