Great hotel...no complaints...would definitely stay there again!

This hotel was lovely. I booked it due to the proximity to the Royal Albert Hall, so it was very close to lots of tourist attractions. Also very close to two tube stations. The hotel itself is very nice...I had booked a standard double room, and when we got there we were informed that we had been upgraded to a deluxe room, which was lovely. It was really spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfy and the bathroom was lovely also. We took advantage of the bar area downstairs as the prices were very reasonable. The prices of the minibar in the room were also extremely reasonable (as they were the same as the bar prices downstairs). We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again.

Small but perfectly formed

I had a single room. It was small but immaculately clean, appointed to a very high standard and quiet. For me, the heating was too high but I could turn off the radiator and open the windows so it wasn't an issue. For museums and Imperial College, it couldn't be better located. I would stay again and recommend to others.

Very clean, friendly and helpful staff

Greeted at reception by friendly and helpful staff. Reception is manned 24 hours a day. Was slightly hard to find, but with a little research before hand would have helped!
Stayed here after attending a show at the Royal Albert Hall. The room I had was a single on the first floor. Very clean and tidy although a bit small. The room I had had no view (just a brick wall). The room had air conditioning too. so I was able to make the room comfortable.
My only slight criticism was that I think I could hear the show in the adjoining room.
Would stay here again, but I don't think I'd pay full price for the room

A lovely small hotel in a great location

The hotel and room were very clean and of a good standard, I wouldn't classify the hotel as boutique, but it was a good quality small hotel. The staff were friendly but not overly helpful. We were given a room on the four floor, and the lift only goes up two floors, we were expected to carry our bags up two narrow flights of stairs without any offer of help (which I thought disappointing).
Having said that I would stay there again and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonable priced hotel in that area of London.

Good

Good location. Fair price. Would have preferred a view overlooking the Museums, but the price I paid probably reflects the rear aspect. Note to manager - In room 25, from about 6am onwards there was a continual clattering coming from what seemed to be other side of the wardrobe. Perhaps the cleaners were throwing brushes and stuff around? After a few hours this was pretty annoying and spoilt an otherwise ideal overnight stay. I would very much recommend the hotel at the price I paid. Very convenient for the Museum right next door where I was visiting on business.

Ideal location for royal albert hall and museums

This hotel could not have been better situated for a mini break to London. Halfway between the RAH (concert in the evening) and the Museums (culture the next day). The room was immaculate - bedlinen crisp and white, bathroom excellent. Hotel reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Even the minibar prices are sensible!

One Night stay at 54 Boutique

We were at the Boutique Hotel for one night. As we were visiting the Albert Hall and the Museums the location was absolutely perfect and we had a friiendly warm welcome on arrival. Our accommodation was first class - clean, large, comfortable and quiet. I would have no hesitation at recommending this hotel to anyone.

Does "Boutique" only mean "small"?

My room was absolutely fine, decent size, very clean, good air conditioning and a wonderfully powerful shower. Furnishings and decoration throughout the hotel were, however, extremely plain, not quite what I expect of a hotel describing itself as boutique. My major disappointment was the perfunctory nature of the welcome upon my arrival. There was no introduction to the hotel's facilities or explanation of the services, no questions about wake-up call, morning paper or whether I would need a restaurant recommending or booking; I was simply handed a room key. The room did not have any brochure or hotel details. Overall the style and service was far inferior to to that I have experienced at similar sized hotels in the same area, without there being a commensurate saving in price.

Excellent

Recently booked a double room at 54 for work; room was large and exceptionally well put together, very modern and clean. I stay in London every week for work and often can't sleep due to noise levels - but this room was so quiet - I slept through the night!! I will definitely be using here again and would recommend it to anyone. It's near all the attractions of South Kensington (Science Museum, V&A, NHM & Albert Hall) plus close to Knightsbridge and the Tube.

One night stay

My Father had decent sized double room, clean with comfy bed however he found it far too hot and did not sleep well due to the noise outside
My room was a tiny single room perfectly adequate again a comfy bed. It was lovely and quite however there was the previous occupiers luggage label lying on the floor which was disappointing as all else was lovely and clean
Very convienent for Royal Albert Hall, friendly and helpful staff.
