One night stay

Lovely spacious rooms with en suite and flat screen tv within easy walking distance of Albert Hall Kensington Palace, 2 tube stations within easy reach. Staff helpful. breakfast good value for £7.50. Couldn't fault it!

Good

Good location. Fair price. Would have preferred a view overlooking the Museums, but the price I paid probably reflects the rear aspect. Note to manager - In room 25, from about 6am onwards there was a continual clattering coming from what seemed to be other side of the wardrobe. Perhaps the cleaners were throwing brushes and stuff around? After a few hours this was pretty annoying and spoilt an otherwise ideal overnight stay. I would very much recommend the hotel at the price I paid. Very convenient for the Museum right next door where I was visiting on business.

Ideal location for royal albert hall and museums

This hotel could not have been better situated for a mini break to London. Halfway between the RAH (concert in the evening) and the Museums (culture the next day). The room was immaculate - bedlinen crisp and white, bathroom excellent. Hotel reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Even the minibar prices are sensible!

The carpet was full of spots. the brown cover on the bed had also spots. around the bathtube tab I could see some black spots/ mildew? i missed the toilet brush! the kettle could have decalced for new guests.
the positive part of the room was the bed. really confortable. the size of the room was also satifactory!

One Night stay at 54 Boutique

We were at the Boutique Hotel for one night. As we were visiting the Albert Hall and the Museums the location was absolutely perfect and we had a friiendly warm welcome on arrival. Our accommodation was first class - clean, large, comfortable and quiet. I would have no hesitation at recommending this hotel to anyone.

Does "Boutique" only mean "small"?

My room was absolutely fine, decent size, very clean, good air conditioning and a wonderfully powerful shower. Furnishings and decoration throughout the hotel were, however, extremely plain, not quite what I expect of a hotel describing itself as boutique. My major disappointment was the perfunctory nature of the welcome upon my arrival. There was no introduction to the hotel's facilities or explanation of the services, no questions about wake-up call, morning paper or whether I would need a restaurant recommending or booking; I was simply handed a room key. The room did not have any brochure or hotel details. Overall the style and service was far inferior to to that I have experienced at similar sized hotels in the same area, without there being a commensurate saving in price.
