Perfectly alright

Great location, the room was spacious enough for a couple. Bathrooms were kinda small but this is to be expected from a place in London that wont cost an arm and a leg. The only issues I would say is that the shower holder was broken so we had to hold the shower handle and wash that way. Also, the reception was not there when we checked in (after 6pm) so we had to go down to 82 Gloucester street to pick up our key and in the am there was supposed to be a person at 146 for check out as of 10am but when we left at quarter after there wasn't so we just left the key under the reception door. All in all, I wouldn't boast about this being a fantastic hotel, but it was a perfectly fine place to stay for a night in London for the cost.

A Lack of Communication

The room was fine but key collection was a joke. Confirmation email suggested picking keys from hotel at different location. On arriving there was told key was actually at apartment building, went back none there so back to hotel who then provided an emergency key. Total of 30 minutes wasted going back and forth across Marylebone Road!!

Everything we needed for an overnight head down at a great price and great location.

Initial worry was there was no room as I had a call saying there had been a pipe burst and they would have to re-locate me. THANKFULLY, my husband was in London and went to sort that in person. Once there - fantastic. Everything that we needed and a load more space than I expected. I was travelling with my 10yr old daughter and we were able to have egg on toast for a good breakfast before we left. There wasn't a tea towel to dry your washing up though. Also, when they say check out is 12.00 noon; they mean it. We got back to our room at 12.05pm to find the cleaner in there with the door open wide (Our case still there, and some containers still on the bench), and the containers that we had bought the eggs and some butter in and my egg poachers were in the bin already. We had to ask for them back and fish them out of the rubbish!!
However, all that said, it was a fantastic place and ideal for what we needed. I would definitely use it again myself. I don't think there was a lift anywhere, so if you were on lower or higher floors than ground floor, this might be a consideration.

Good accommodation - confusing check-in!

Accommodation good for the price and location. A nice bright, airy room and adequate kitchen facilities. Only criticism is that check-in is quite some way away and this wasn't specified on the booking confirmation (reception staff quite disbelieving when I pointed this out but I understand this may be a Late Rooms error rather than a 146 Suites error). Annoying to have walked from station to find out I needed to walk back in the other direction to check in (and then of course all the way back again!). Only other thing to note is that there is no life - I didn't personally mind this but others might struggle to carry cases up several quite narrow flights of stairs. Those criticisms aside, all in all it was a pleasant place to stay - fairly quiet street but busy enough to be easy to flag a cab, and just round the corner from Regent's Park.

Stayed in hotel 82 in the end as room available on arrival.
Very small room, but clean. Rubbish TV! electrics a little odd!
Not a bad location, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
If you want somewhere cheap (for London) and clean then this is right for you.
Personally I would rather pay a little more and have a bigger room with better facilities.

Long time i didn't get such incredible customer service

An Amazing location with a wonderful staff. Without asking, the receptionist relocated me on a top floor apartment, and instead of a studio, I had a one bedroom flat for the same price, and even better, until midday the following day. Certainly a place to return as the apartment was stunning and very well furnished.

My dreadful 146 experience

I really felt I was at some immature student accommodation. The sound insulation was absolutely appalling. An extremely noisy party was taking place in the room further down the corridor which was unbearable. I tried phoning reception only to find that the room phone on the wall was actually stuck by some adhesive to its holder so was inoperable. I then had to use my own phone to get through to reception only to be told by the night porter there was nothing he could do!! How marvelous! I then had to confront the room full of people who looked upon the situation as some form of joke. The loud noise and slamming of doors continued thereon. One of the worst nights I have experienced. I have a network of friends who, as I, are regular travellers to London. From my feedback you can assume what my recommendations will be. Never again.

Convenient

Proximity to Baker St tube very good but key collection is over 5-minute walk away. Room reasonably smart but wooden floors noisy, especially with young kids above. Shower room very small but functional. Plenty of shops nearby and Regents Park a short stroll away which is nice. Could do with an easy chair and digital TV. Wireless internet worked very well in my room.

-You have to pay the bill in advance but they don´t give you a receipt untill you leave the room.

Great accomodation but a bit noisy

The apartment was well equipped, clean and modern. The check in at the hotel was quick and courteous but a bit of a pain having to walk down the road to do this. The apartments are on a very busy road so earplugs are essential, especially if your fellow guests in the building are out late!

Neat spacious studio situated near Bakerloo station next to a fairly busy road. Included small kitchen with all necessary equipment (expect for consumables such as teabags). The studio was actually two rooms which means that the whole thing was very spacious. Beware: the reception is located at another address and is about 10 mins walk from the actual room. Check-out does however not require you to go back there, you can leave your key in your room when you leave.

Basic but value for money

Finding flat 1 is an experiance - it's in the basement and you had to find "cupboard under the stairs" that was the stairs down! The TV was hanging off the wall and needed to be held up using the cutlery pot - and the TV only has 5 bad reception terrestial channels!!! Toilet seat was only just held on with loose plastic bolts. Apart from that - it was cheap and value for money for a one-night stop over. Would not have wanted to stay there longer than one night at a time.

Very good value for money at 146 Gloucester Road

The accomodation was in a very pleasant part of London and just 5 minutes walk from the Baker Street Tube station - very convenient. We hadn't stayed in an apartment like this before - city breaks like this we had previously chosen conventional hotel accomodation. But this suited our requirements much better for a family of 4. The accomodation was still quite fresh from a recent renovation and whilst it was quite basic and frugal it ticked all the important boxes. We had a problem with the shower control which transpired not to be a fault as such with the shower but it was important to understand that the temperature control had no effect unless the on/off flow control was set to full flow. We raised the problem with the staff and it was addressed promptly the next day although the solution did not become apparent until day 3. Nonetheless I must give full credit to the staff for their prompt response to our complaint.
The only minor issues of substance were that a tea towel would have been handy to dry dishes and if a table lamp could be provided in the living area it would make the experience more pleasant than the ceiling spotlights even though these had a dimmer control. Finally a reading lamp in the bedroom would also be good as there was no lightswitch at the head of the bed.
If value for money is your metric then this accomodation is excellent and we would definitely intend to stay there again.

Nice room, shame about the parking...

The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean and minimalist but with everything you need - the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in. Handy for the tube being equidistant from Marylebone and Baker St stations - 5 mins each.
Only criticism was that the key has to be collected from 82 Gloucester Place which is a good 10 minute walk away below the Marylebone Road. The local parking is horrendous as the only on street parking places seem to have been suspended. You have to search high and low in among all of the residents permits only spaces, for a space at £4.00 per hour for a max of 4 hours parking. The Local NCP is £7 per hour or £42 for 24 hours so you need to factor this in to your costs. I ended up parking in the NCP, walking down to 82 to pick the key up. Back to the car park to get my rucksack ( I might have felt a bit more peeved if I was staying with family with lots of luggage), walked up to 146 to find that my swipe card key would let me into the front door but not into my flat. However, when I rang reception they said that they would send someone up with another key which they did very promptly.

I found it very easy to find and access, the room was perfect, had a bed and a shower, toilet and basin and was very clean and also had towels.
yes there was a little noise but it was only as people were arriving back to the appartments so i didnt mind.

Great Apartment, Filthy Bathroom

I stayed in a studio apartment which was quite small, about the same size as a large hotel room. The TV only had 5 channels and the reception was poor. The bathroom was tiny (I mean really tiny) and the shower enclosure was filthy. There was an array of different colour moulds growing in the shower and the drain in the shower drained so slowly that you could only shower for about two minutes before you had to switch it off to wait another couple of minutes for the enclosure to empty so as not to flood the bathroom.
Aside from the terrible bathroom, the rest of the room was nice and the air conditioning was great. Just remember that you have to go to hotel 82 which is about half mile down the street to get your key before you can get into the room. With a lot of bags this can be a bit of a nightmare.
If I had to visit the same part of London again I would consider this place but I would ask for a diffferent room or at least specify that I wanted the bathroom cleaned first.

Nice place to stay with Kids Clean, Tidy and Value for Money

Although Basic, This was perfect for our 1 night stay, was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room, and although It is a small self contained area, it has all the amenity's that allow you to self provide if you so wish. I liked the fact the kids were able to have a separate room. Leaving us to chill out in peace and not sleep when they did. I wouldn't reccomend this for familys that want to spend alot of time in the room, as it is fairly small, but it worked fine for us as we were out for most of the time. also found it very quiet as we were in the back. no main road noise. all in all A good stay.

Good value for money accomodation

The apartment was very clean and airy even though it was the basement apartment. It was fine for us with 2 teenage girls, but if you had little ones / pushchair, the stairs might be a bit tricky. The large double bed, I'm advised was very comfortable. The sofa-bed in the kitchen area was a little narrow for 2 people if I'm honest, and we're only little, but again it was comfortable. My biggest complaint would be that there were no covers for the spare duvet and pillows, but they were clean and smelt fresh, oh and despite booking for 4 people we were only left 2 towels. All in all thouhg, it was good value for money, and I would stay there again.

Good clean room

Room was advertised to sleep one person, but was larger than this would lead you to believe as there was ample room and a slightly larger than single bed (although not quite a double). On the first night there was a lot of stomping about outside the room and slamming of doors. I would urge the management to fit those devices that closes doors softly as they did sound really lound even when closing them normally. It was only a five minute walk from where the key is collected and you may need to hold the card up to the sensor for a few seconds to unlock the door. Overall would stay again, although I might pack some ear plugs next time.

I stayed at the accommodation for the night prior to my operation at the Princess Grace Hospital and it was the ideal location. The room was very clean, simply furnished and the simplicity of departure helped settle any nerves. No fuss.
Due to the very hot night, we were grateful for the air conditioning ,although it did drip and should be attended to , also a couple bulbs were gone in the kitchen area.

Great accomodation in a great part of London

Arrived at the Hotel 82 reception to pick up our keys and check in to find that there had been a slight error on our booking (They had reserved an extra room for our party!) The reception dealt with the issue very efficiently and without any fuss. It was then on up to the apartments. They are about 10 minas walk from the hotel, across the other side of Marlebone Rd, so a wee bit inconvient. The apartment it self is in a beautiful terrace house minutes from both Baker St and Marlebone Stations. The Studio apartment we were in was modern, fresh and very clean. Flat screen TV and a little (very little) en suite and shower. the bathroom was small but very functional with a good shower. Comfortable bed and very pleasant AIR CONDITIONING!!!! (As it was 30 degrees celcius when we were there!)
Given the fantastic location, these apartments are great value for money and I'd stay here again in a minute.

Not worth the price

Basement "flat", not bigger than some hotel rooms at lower price. Small kitchenette but not worth the price difference with a hotel; bad smell in the kitchen area. Broken lamp and bin. Very tiny bathroom. Very low ceiling, if you're more than 5'8 you will bang your head on door frames. Only a few channels on the TV, and with very bad reception. No mobile phone coverage inside the flat. I could the hear the conversion of the guests in the room above, and the noise from people walking above was very very loud. No phone in the flat, so if you have a problem you have to walk the 5 minutes to the hotel reception. I asked to change room, it was agreed at first then denied the next day. The receptionist does not want to deal with customer complaints, and simply gives out a phone number. Very poor service.
